They did away with Oscar the Grouch long ago. Since then I have no use for them.

I read an article that said this several months ago. As I cannot find a verifying link, I withdraw the statement.

They should never have done away with Oscar. Kids have to learn that there are assholes in this world. And, as I recall, the Cookie Monster started eating broccoli. It's no wonder kids are messed up.

Bert was once accused of being a terrorist with bin landen - not sure the outcome of that one.

And Ernie had been spotted at strip joints partying - I've seen the pictures.
