Thanks, Hamburger. That's the kind of eggs we eat. Nevertheless, we eat eggs only about twice a month.

Dys. Chile verde con puerco. What a man!

I actually went OUT for brekkie - that doesn't happen often. I had a feta and baby-spinach omelet with home fries and 12-grain toast.

i understand thatcholestorol has different effects on different people. we eat an egg almost every day. the only fats mrs h uses are olive oil and corn oil for cooking (with some butter). with our bread/toast we eat butter only - never any kind of margarine. we usually have fish/scallops/shrimps 2-3 times a week. we do eat a fair amount of cereals, fruit and veggies but don't particularly watch what we eat - except that we hardly ever eat out unless on vacation. my cholestoral level has consistently been low; my doctor has actually not send me for a cholestorol test the last two years : a waste of money/resources , he says. i'll have to push him for a test this tear, i guess.
have never smoked but like a drink or even two now and then.

since i'm just reading some doctors' jokes - apparently taken from hospital charts, here are some :

she has no rigors or shaking chills, but husband states she was very hot in bed last night

patient has been depressedsince she began seeing me in 1993

and

examination of genitalia reveals that he is circus sized

conclusion : stay away, far away from the doctor !

Sounds good. Is your weight within normal range, and do you keep stress down?
Make sure not to eat hamburgers. Seriously, I think it is very good to eat out infrequently. When we do, it is usually to keep up contact with friends, not just to eat. There's nothing we can buy outside that we can't make at home, and enjoy doing so. Saves a lot of money, and cuts down on calories and the risk, frankly, of food poisoning.

Dinner report -
The Chile Verde con Puerco y Arborio was wonderful. The arborio really works with it, as a rice with "tooth": it stands up to the pork and the green chili. I know, I know, it's not brown. Oh well, I love it anyway.

We may be going out to check out a new breakfast place this morning...

hamburger's kinda scrawny now that he's retired. Swims 5 days a week. Definitely a lifestyle to aspire to.

Cola, my wife just made a wonderful healthful and delicious little dish consisting of chopped spinach, onions, garlic, cabbage, shitaki mushrooms, sauteed in olive oil and 2 or 3 tablespoons of a mayonaise substitute, a bit of lemon pepper, a tablespoon of wate (sautee for about 10 minutes and add mayonaise substitute half way through). Then she adds a bit of feta cheese (chopped raw tomatos and black olives may be added when served for that mediterranean look).
The mayonaise substitute is "Vegenaise", made with heart-healthy grapeseed oil (no eggs or milk products). Try it for all your mayonaise needs; it's delicious!!

Went to a meeting that started with breakfast today.

Grabbed a carrot muffin that I thought would be an oatmeal muffin - added pb and jam when I realized my mistake.

Innumerable tiny cups of tea.

<why do hotels use those tiny cups?>

Blueberry yogurt and coffee. And a very powerful pain reliever. The pinched nerve in my neck has once again become enflamed. Three things help. Indocin, Flexiril, and acupuncture. Nothing else works.
