Monday I think I'll try to have fruit.

I had smoked salmon, capers, and cream cheese on this bread T brought home with a touch of bleu cheese in it. It was tasty.

I'm looking forward to lunch, because I made fajitas and guacamole and pico de gallo last night and I've got leftovers (and some fruit) packed for lunch. Yum!

Ham and egg on a biscuit with apple cider.

Lunch was even better - red beans and rice with smoked sausage.

Pork fat rules!

Unusual breakfass today. I had a big scoop a onion grits and an egg on top, with some side meat. And possibly the worst cupa coffee I ever drunk, This **** was vile so I hadda doctor it up with cream and sugar. It was actually gray.
I was hiking around all mkorning and it stuck with me till 3Pm, when I had a great big navel orange to kill thge residual taste.

Supper is red beans and rice with endouille and some chicory coffee les bontemps roullet.

I decided to go traditional today.
Bacon and eggs on a cheese bun with half a stein of Nutcracker Sweet Tea.
Ketchup to cover the taste of the eggs.
I hate eggs.

the usual large bowl of fruit, yoghurt and cereal, followed by a boiled egg, some nice chewy bread, smoked ham (just a small slice !!!), swiss cheese and coffee - should keep me going until lunch. hbg

Since it's Sunday, huevos rancheos with frijoles refritos and a couple of mugs of strong black coffee.

By the way, ebeth, you don't like eggs? Are you missing a gene? Nothing like fried eggs with salt. Too bad I have both high cholesterol and hilgh blood pressure (both under medical control, but if the doctors ever tell me I'm going to die soon, I'll make it sooner with a diet of fried eggs--and refried beans--all day long.

hi, jl !
if you like eggs, try to find those from chickens that have been fed with linseed, their egss are actually good in keeping cholesterol under control (a/t the canadian heart association) . we eat a tablespoonful of toasted and ground flaxseed with our cereal every mornin - a nice nutty taste - and good for keeping the bad cholesterol in check. hbg

I'm suprised...ehBeth hates eggs. I hated them until I was 22, then one morning I woke up and "needed" to eat scrambled eggs. I went to a local diner and enjoyed a huge plate of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast.
The scrambled egg has been a dear friend ever since...

My cholesterol is perfect btw.
