Yesterday - late break or brunch of Claiborne's spaghetti with clams and anchovies (and red pepper and garlic and rosemary)

Today - mixed nuts with chile, madras curry, salt, olive oil, roasted.

@ossobuco,
Osso, I used to go to the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles for Chinese food for breakfast. Other times I'd heat up left-over spaghetti (the best kind) for breakfast.
Today, I sometimes have a handful of cashews with Thai chilies, which I buy at Trader Joes'.
Your "mixed nuts with chile, madras curry, salt, olive oil, roasted" is absolutely to taste for me. Food can be spiritual. No doubt about it.

yesterday, Set made a peameal roast for Christmas Eve brunch
yummo - he put a nice honey/mustard glaze on it

this morning ... thank goodness for leftover peameal

sauteed some mushrooms, sweet onion, tossed in some diced peameal, topped it with an egg and some shredded cheese

piled it all on a warm bun, had it with a big clunk of old-style tomato chili

I'll be hungry again sometime tomorrow Very Happy

@ehBeth,
Mmmm, that sounds good ehBeth.

We've started a tradition of french toast on Christmas morning -- but made with the candied fruit studded pannettone. Very decadent! Real maple syrup, of course.

@shewolfnm,
My effort was very modest today: a crispy english muffin with peanut butter (that I ground in the market) with Smart Balance margarine and lemon marmelade. But the coffee is what made it reasonable.

What are you trying to do, Shewolfnm, live forever. That's the way to do it.

@ossobuco,
I skipped food this morning, don’t know why. I was lazy maybe… but not really because I wanted to get out to the grocery store before mid morning. I was getting pretty hungry as I did a quick up and down the isles and found myself buying a cup of chili from the soup/deli area, which is not something I would normally do.

But I’m glad I did. It was still warm and yummy when I got home an hour ago, and I ate it up with a couple very fresh, very soft, dinner rolls.
