multi grain toast.... last weeks (I'm still finishing the loaf) was sprouted multi, this weeks is multi with pepitas (When Pigs Fly is an expensive, but yummy brand). With butter (I just finished the all natural nutella variant).

Tomorrow will be cereal, likely, with almond milk.

I presume olive oil based margerine has, by definition, trans fats. We do have an olive oil butter mix available, or, oops, we did, as I've moved... Meat fats were considered better than trans fats, last I looked. (Oh, lord, won't you buy me, a mercedes benz...)

Osso, olive oil does not contain transfats. But I assume you know that, and that you were referring to the word, "margarine."
Our "margarine" does not contain transfats or partially hydrogenated oils of any kind: its name is Smart Balance Omega Plus. Not bad.
I think it's wonderful that we can now eat multigrain toast and cereals Like LittleK and Edgar.
Have I said that my favorite bread is Orowheat's "Master's BEST Winter Wheat"? Oh yes, I did. I remember describing some of its contents: cracked wheat sunflower seeds, walnuts millet, oats, corn, brown rice, flaxseed...just delicious, to live for.
Wow, I think I should write commercials.
I do know that I become very smug when I make pitches for the food I choose to eat.
I did get food poisoning some time ago, but it didn't humble me a bit.

My dad uses smart balance. It has no trans fats, but I believe it has mono and di glicerides (triglicerides) which is something to be aware of if you have cardiovascular disease. It also has one or two (I can't remember) ingredients that were completely unfamiliar to me.

Smart Balance Omega whatever tastes like fish. The regular old Smart Balance isn't bad.

I grabbed a non-fat yogurt by mistake this AM. Blech! It was like eating flavored phlegm.

Smart Balance doesn't sound like a food product to me. It sounds like gym equipment or a new kind of bank account. Maybe that's why I haven't tried it yet.
