@Region Philbis,
So, meantime, I'm yearning for some commentary by Fbaezer on the ongoing closedown, mmm, pazzo (can that be converted to an ital noun?) in Mexico City. I figure you're busy enough, fb, and if with a bit of a lull on your hands, not in the mood. But eventually...

fare impazzire? working toward 'crazy making'..

Also, Pants, how is it going there???

@ossobuco,
To explain to any fantasy baseball players who don't know this yet, Fb is very fluent in italian, I'm a dummy with many ital classes taken to scant avail, and Pantalones also knows some. They are naturally fluent in espanol, and I can read some of the paragraphs on a mexican newspaper front page with a dictionary at hand, but speak, nah.

@ossobuco,
I do hope Fb and Pants plus their families, friends and admirers are doing all right.

@jespah,
Here in Mexico City it actually is more of a bore than anything else.

Stage 1. (a week ago), informative excitement, very slight personal health worry.
Stage 2 (a couple days later), bored in the house, slight personal health worry, a bit paranoid at work and in the street.
Stage 3 (a few days ago), bored as hell (nothing to do outside work and home), very slight personal health worry, start to worry about economic consequences.
Stage 4 (today), still very bored, personal health worry almost nil, enhanced worry about economic and social consequences.

Pantos is in a situation similar to those living in the USA. Remember he lives just across the border -and about 2500 miles from me.

@fbaezer,
Glad to hear that you are well and relatively at peace however boring that might be, fb. But better times are ahead for all. They always have been and there is no reason to think they won't be again.

Could we attach just a week bit of the recession to your baseball team?

For those of you who are wondering, my thought process through the days is/was very similar to fbaezer's. As of today I'm more worried about the economical consequences than the health repercussions for me and people close to me. I'll start to become bored if this continues this way, they've closed our museum, one cinema and not a single case of the swine flu has been documented in Tijuana.

I've kept my routine intact except that swine flu spared me of the responsibility of going this wednesday to LA. I drive there every wednesday because of work but they asked me not to go because of the swine flu (they were scared, I guess).

Just a note.
I'll be away all next week, so there be no action in the Ipswich Stable.

This doesn't seem fair, but I will take it in my battle against Alex:
One of my RP did not have a good day yesterday...6 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks. Sounds bad, right? He didn't get a single out-not one-and as a result his ERA and WHIP came out as Infinite. Infinite evidently = Zero on Yahoo so I didn't get hurt. If he gotten one guy out it would be totally different.

Good afternoon from Cville, where it is drizzling. There could be a few PPD games today on the east coast.
If our matchups were to end the day where we started, the Necks and Da Tubas would wind up in 4th and 5th place. Osso in 6th followed by MM, Jespah and Alex. The latter 2 would be swallowing water as they would be under .500.
