He's precious, Roger. And just why can't the pussy cat sit where the pussy cat wants?

Because I'm not the boss. And he doesn't cause trouble on the desks, either.

I just saw some headlines today that echinacea does no good...but alas, I didn't read the article or memo a link.

Sigh.

Did you see it???

Well, Roger, in sympathy with your ailment, I too have decided to "feel sick."

It came on suddenly last night and I immediately took Echincea (sp?) and Vitamin C and Zinc and brandy. The Brandy definitely helped!! I've taken some more of everything this morning and I'm not worse, possibly a little bit better.

Hope you're better. P

Oh!

Well. Yes. Wash it all down with a nice helping of brandy. I'm taking sips from a tiny bottle of Coivoissier (is THAT spelled right?). Quite nice. Ahem.

And I'm feeling lots better.

Well, of course - how are you going to get on with things with this great kitten there for the playing! Isn't he a pet!

Piffka ... an old family remedy

Brew up a pot of good strong herbal tea. Liberally lace the tea with honey. Put on your favorite warm snugglies. Take a bottle of fine brandy, a snifter, and settle into your favorite comfy spot, perhaps with a book or in front of the TV. Ignore the tea, drink the brandy. When you feel well enough to care, discard the tea and go to bed. Works every time.

No, he is not a pet. He is staff. Still looking for a desk of his own, though.

I use fine scotch for medicinal purposes - ever since I struggled to a party even though I had a horrid virus, consumed awesome quantities of scotch, partied wildly, stopped suddenly, had a wittle sweep in the corner of the party, and woke up sans hangover and - miraculously! - sans virus - and partied on!

(Our parties often lasted several days then.......)

Could the little fellow have a nest in the bottom part of one of those multi-trayed in/out basket thingies (that are always filled with mounds of crap on my desk) - you could build a false and hollow stack of papers for him, where only you could see his charming little face as he slept or purred at you.....?

Not bad Deb. Not bad at all. Today, I discovered him emerging from behind my row of reference books on top of my <gasp> desk. If his bed were oval instead of round, it would be a good fit.

Jeez

Maybe a staff cat would make things more tolerable here in this rat-hole.

Wonder what the paper-work is - now that we work for the Mayniacs, there's plenty of paper but little result!

funnily enough, given the early turnings of this tale, today is Jared Leto's 31st birthday.

When i first saw this thread, I thought the Leto reference was to him (I still do).

now, what to do with that vat of echinacea i have upstairs (it never did anything for me). The zinc lozenges however, did zap bam boom my sinus cold right outta here - i'm glad i'm in the group they work for.
