2 ) It is not my opinion
that Foxfyre says anything that she does not believe.

1. It speaks to the issue of futility as well.

2. That speaks to your question about the REASON for this as well. The people who say these things believe them. That's why they do it.

AGREED.
Most people who r accused of hypocrisy r innocent,
in my observation (not to imply that I am a telepath),
but judging from the context.
