...to find something.

I am looking (starting to get desperate) for a Mushabelly Mushkin toy; Pepper the Penguin.

Tne one I am looking for is 10" tall and Grumbles when you press his belly and chatters when you press his hand.

I cannot find it anywhere.

I thought I'd try one last ditch resort and sig the entire A2K site on the case and see if any of you could come up with one.

There are a lot of 6" ones out there but they don't both grumble and chatter.

Can ya help me out?

This is what it looks like only it has a red spot on one hand to press (this is the 6inch version)

Most of the usual U.S. sites, including Amazon.com, are out of stock with no anticipated date when these will again be available. I see a lot of requests like yours posted by folks looking for one.

I did find this site in the U.K. that looks promising. The Penguin is not all that expensive but don't know how costly it would be to have it shipped across the pond.

Thanks but unfortunatly, that is the 6 inch one and it's out of stock.

*sigh*

The story is that I had gotten one (a huge 15" one) almost a year ago for my daughter and she loved it. The dogs got it.

She was crushed.

Grandma and Grandpa found one to replace it but it was the 10" one. I didn't care. She didn't care. Eveyone was happy.

Well, the dogs somehow managed to get it out of her crib and poor thing is dead now. Again.

Sorry Bella. Funny how some of these toys catch on so well that they become scarcer than hen's teeth. I can remember people standing in line for hours and hours to buy a Tickle Me Elmo.

@Bella Dea,
Get her a new toy, have the dog stuffed.

oops to paraphrase, why would a dog have access to a crib?

@solipsister,
There is a gate at the top of the stairs locking the dogs downstairs but someone (i think me) forgot to latch it so the dogs were up in the bedrooms. *sigh*

@Bella Dea,
She already made one size transition, maybe she'd like the 6" ones too?

@Bella Dea,
We have several of the 6" mushabellies. They make noise, too.

(I realize this is not terribly helpful.)

(Or helpful at all.)

@sozobe,
The problem with the 6" is that is doesn't grumble and chatter both. It only chatters. And she loved to lay on it and make it grumble.

I think I have to resign myself to the fact that I am not going to find one.

@Bella Dea,
They disappeared from retail fairly quickly, but I found a replacement at Big Lots when one was destroyed.

This was six months ago or more, though.

I have looked everywhere I can think of and there are none of the medium or large ones out there. Just the tiny little one.

Oh well.
