I think you're reading too much into it. Trickster is just ranting at his buddies with some cultural self-hatred. I would rather Trickster prove them wrong by getting an education and making a success of his life.
Since you state that you are Black, do you feel that a continuing preoccupation with slavery is self pity ? Slavery of blacks in the US is history, but must not be forgotten. Slavery comes in many subtle forms and we must be on guard to guarantee civil rights to all.

Trickster is on the Neverending Rap thread. He is real and probably exactly what and who he says he is. I think he's having a personal argument with a buddy and decided to take it to the people here. It's more of a rant than a serious conversation starter.
