The Germans were far from building a nuclear bomb. They didn't have the amount of uranium needed, and their hard water production was destroyed in Norway. Their hard water was dropped into the Atlantic Ocean.
The Germans failed to make the development of nuclear weapons a high priority, and their bigotry against Jewish scientists created a huge handicap in their development. Rather than a centralized system to develop a weapon, they had several competing groups.
Having a long-distance bomber was of no use when they didn't have the weapon. In late 1945, the allies were bombing Germany at will, and their defense was crumbling. Some even attempted to kill Hitler.
