Can you look at this map and say Israel does not systemically appropriate land?

We're able to enter Bethlehem, because that's where they have the 'spot' where Jesus was supposedly born, and many people of religion go there to touch and kiss the spot. I'm not sure about the other barricated areas, but it's my understanding that people can visit those areas if they wish. Interestingly enough, Jews are not allowed in those restricted areas. Anthony Bourdain was recently in Gaza to film a segment of his show, and the people of that area welcomed him as a guest as well as feeding him. That's the Palestinian culture; to make people feel at home.

"Interestingly"?

Yes, 'interestingly' enough.

Yes, many Palestinian Jews converted into Islam or Christianity at one point or another, together with many Samaritans and the remnants of old pagan Canaan culture, and other Philistines... and the occasional Arab thrown in the mix.

And what is your source for the term "dead children gambit"?

I'm not sure it has a source. It's just a convenient way of referring to the way the Palestinians fake reports of "dead children".

Nope. The Zionist Jews are the indigenous population of the West Bank area. It's their ancient homeland.

Nuh-uh. The Jews that came up with the silly ideology of Zionism--Ashkenazi Jews-- were indigenous to Europe.

DNA says that they are indigenous to the West Bank.

Balderdash. DNA says that they're indigenous to Europe.

Nope. DNA shows quite clearly that they are indigenous to the West Bank.

Wrong, oralloy. What the DNA shows is that Palestinian DNA fits smack in the middle of the range of variation in Jewish DNA.

No. It says the Palestinians diverged from the Jewish people before the Israelite era.

MontereyJack wrote:
BOTH were there.

The Palestinians, having diverged from the Israelites before the Iron Age, were not present with the Israelites during the Iron Age.

Yes you have.

In fact, the one cite on the subject from way far back on this thread, shortly before you propounded this absurd theory, which was I think this:
http://epiphenom.fieldofscience.com/2009/01/shared-genetic-heritage-of-jews-and.html
flatly did not support you.

That supports me in every respect, and contradicts you in every respect.

Note: "Jews and Palestinian Arabs are blood brothers - although this close genetic relationship probably stems from pre-Judaic times, rather than any more recent conversion of Palestinian Jews to Islam."

That clearly says that the Palestinians had split away from the Jews before they became Jews, and were in no way descended from the Jews.

As for absurdity, the fact that science contradicts your agenda does not mean that science is absurd.

MontereyJack wrote:
you are invited to provide some reliable research evidence, which you have NOT done, to support your position.

I have very much provided such evidence, over and over and over again. You just provided a link to that very evidence yourself.

Have you read the Gotz Aly book, Why Germany, Why the Jews? The belief that Jews were too successful for their small numbers drove much of the self-righteous anti-Semitism of early 20th century German anti-Semitism. The whole Arab/Israeli antagonism, in my opinion, is generated by similar feelings to what many Germans felt in the early 20th century - the collective German race should not be shown up by these Jews.

I agree that anti-Jewish sentiments are probably a result of jealousy generated by the fact that Jews are achievers...bit time achievers.

But yor conclusion that the Arab/Israeli problem is also a result of this is absurd. Jews and Arabs got along relatively peacefully...much more peacefully than people elsewhere on the globe...for thousands of years BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL in that area.

It is the state of Israel there that sticks in their craw...AND RIGHTLY SO.

The state of Israel in that area is the problem...and anyone with an open mind can easily see that.

On the contrary: one could not from DNA see much of a difference between Sephardic Jews and Palestinians.

Your point that, "Jews and Arabs got along relatively peacefully...much more peacefully than people elsewhere on the globe...for thousands of years BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL in that area, is ignoring the current context that Jews built up Israel, so that Tel Aviv is like a Los Angeles in the middle east. Palestineans have the same human emotions as other humans, and resentment/envy is evoked, in my opinion, when Jews made Israel into a modern westernized nation, next to nations with balkanized populations and nominal human resources for modernization.

The fact that Arab armies attacked in 1948 might just reflect Arab prescience that these Jews were going to make them appear backward on the world stage, in my opinion.

You're ignoring the fact that Israel committed genocide, is still committing genocide in order to build Los Angeles in the Middle East. But you have always been very comfortable with genocide as you have long supported the various USA genocides.
