Okay, it's been 30+ years since I read the comics regularly! You have found a topic on which I am woefully uninformed!! Very Happy

That said:

Penny Singleton - Blondie
Clarence Nash - Donald Duck?
Jason Alexander - Dilbert? Hercules? Duckman?
Madonna - Dick Tracy
Gerry Bamman - Born Loser?

Nash was Peanuts. Jason Alexander was For Better or Worse...I can't believe you and Raggedy. The other day I was trying to think of funny paper cartoons, and Raggedy too, said she didn't read them. Next Bree will pop in to say she doesn't read them....Or maybe that just shows my mentality. Shocked

Very Happy Your turn....I have to run some errands....back soon!!!

I only read the comics when my 11-year-old niece puts them in my hands and says "Read that one." Laughing

So I thought I'd pick another topic on which I am woefully lacking knowledge:

Books of the Old Testament in the title:

Marlene Dietrich
George Clooney
Matthew Lillard
Paul Newman
Tom Cruise
William Holden

max, if you'd seen the comic book collection I had as a child, you never would have suggested that I'd say I don't read the comics! Unfortunately, that collection got tossed when my mother moved out of her house in 1979. Sometimes I wonder what it would fetch on eBay these days (but then I put that thought out of my mind, or it would drive me crazy). I was a big Archie & Veronica fan, but I had my fair share of Marvel superheroes comics, too.

Very Happy Thank you Bree!! I'm so sorry your mom throw that out. Nic Cage had a collection worth 100s of thousands and then sold it at the request of then wife Presley.........
Dietrich-SONG OF SONGS
Clooney-Three KINGS
Lillard-Spanish JUDGES
Newman-EXODUS
Cruise-Interview with a Vampire-Vampire CHRONICLES
Holden-Dear RUTH

Hi: See, Max, there are already 3 of us who don't read the comics. But, I was a comic book collector. And my mom made me get rid of mine, too. She said they smelled musty. The first Superman and Batman went "poof" along with tons of others, and if I hadn't been such a good little girl, I could be living in Hawaii today instead of trudging through this blasted snow. Crying or Very sad But, at least I got out for awhile this morning although I see I missed a lot of fun here.

Oh, Max. That's terrible. Good luck with your computer shopping.

OK. Time for a little music. Three songs from a Rogers/Hammerstein movie musical are in the titles (the words to the songs are in the correct order, with one or two words omitted).

Joan Plowright
Shirley MacLaine
Donald Sutherland
Betty Grable
Shelley Winters
Cameron Diaz

Yes to Younger than Springtime. Awkward phrasing on my part. Sorry.
Joan Plowright and Shirley MacLaine will give you one song and
Shelley Winters and Cameron Diaz will give you another, for a total of three. Very Happy

I actually understood that about the pairings, Raggedy. I just don't see song titles amongst their credits (yet). Confused

Gee, thanx, Raggedy, that was a very helpful hint. (I was about to research song titles from Flower Drum Song!)
