Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can! Again, as quickly as you can but don't advance until you've done each of them .... really. Now, scroll down (but not too fast, you might miss something).
THINK of a number from 1 to 10
MULTIPLY that number by 9
If the number is a 2-digit number, ADD the digits together
Now SUBTRACT 5
DETERMINE which letter in the alphabet corresponds to the number you ended up with (example: 1=a, 2=b, 3=c,etc.)
THINK of a country that starts with that letter
REMEMBER the last letter of the name of that country
THINK of the name of an animal that starts with that letter
REMEMBER the last letter in the name of that animal
THINK of the name of a fruit that starts with that letter
Are you thinking of a Kangaroo in Denmark eating an Orange?
Isn't that FREAKY!! If not for you, you're among the 2% of the population whose minds are different enough to think of something else. However, 98% of people will answer with kangaroos in Denmark eating oranges when given this exercise.
I thought of horses in Wales eating persimmons.
@edgarblythe,
I came up with kawala eating an apple
yours sounds a bit puckerish Edgar
Dinosaurs eating elderberries in Jurassik Park?
(Doesn't work in French).
@Gelisgesti,
rat in darfur eating a tomato.
squinney a koala in denmark eating an apple
I hate admitting to being so common, but I did come up with a kangaroo in Denmark eating an orange. Well, not quite; she was contemplating whether to eat it or stow it in her pouch.
All the 2%ers seem to be creative types.
The 9 part is the dead giveaway. Any # between 1 and 9, multiplied by 9, yields a 2-digit # that, when the 2 digits are added together, yields a 9. Hence the thumb is on the scale from the very beginning. Also, most people think of Denmark if they think of a D country. It's rare that someone would think of, say, Djibouti. That puts a second thumb on the scale, to get the K at the end of the country. Few animals begin with the letter K. It's a lot more likely for someone to think of kangaroo rather than, say kiwi. Then the o yields an orange as, I believe, the only possible answer (if there's another o fruit, kindly enlighten me). Essentially this a multitude of thumbs on scales, pushing people into one particular direction, and most people follow very willingly, albeit unconsciously. Nothing more.
I was joking earlier. I gave the same answers most persons give.
@Gelisgesti,
I got a dog in Deutschland eating a date..... I've always been weird.
Here is another 98% or 2% that has been around for a while:
Interesting but strange test are you in the 98% or 2% of the population?
At the end of this test, you are asked a question. Answer it immediately. Don't stop and think about it. Just say the first thing that pops into your mind.
Now... just follow the instructions as quickly as possible.
Do not go to the next calculation before you have finished the
previous one. You do not ever need to write or remember the answers,
just do it using your mind. You'll be surprised.
Start:
How much is: 15 + 6
3 + 56
89 + 2
12 + 53
75 + 26
25 + 52
63 + 32
I know! Calculations are hard work, but it's nearly over....
Come on, one more...
123 + 5
QUICK! THINK ABOUT A TOOL AND A
COLOUR!
Scroll further to the bottom....
A bit more....
You just thought about a red hammer, didn't you?
Heh heh. A tablesaw and black.
I got a blue crab in Virginia eating chicken fat ....
