The first computer can be trace back to Adam & Eve.

It was an Apple but with very limited memory...

Only 1 byte... Then everything crashed...

I'm surprised no-one's circulating a meme about men doing this with their genitalia.

@hingehead,
Greek, "our history goes back from the Mesolithic period until the end of the Hellenistic Era, and our civilization is still alive and well today."
Nerd, "I don't much care about the long time past, but look to the future for my excitement."
Greek, "But you fail to understand that the Greeks developed a) democracy, b) the first alphabet, c) 1st library in the world, d) held the 1st olympics, e) birthplace of many mathematicians and scientists, f) their architectural style still in use today, g) Greek mythology to explain things of the science, and h) the 1st lighthouse."
Nerd, "oh!"

@cicerone imposter,
No decent nerd could let that pass without pointing out that :

Greek history did not end at the end of the hellenestic period (around 31 BC)

proto-sinaitic script predates the greek alphabet

Sumerian libraries pre-date the greek libraries

That there is no way of knowing definitively when the first lighthouse was built or who built it.

And that the Greek in said anecdote is offering a non-sequitur - nothing he says counters the nerd saying "I don't much care about the long time past, but look to the future for my excitement."

And that replying to my post indicates that infers that it is a response to mine - and I am at loss to understand the linkage or intent.

Nerding out!
