Well ci--I can imagine you getting married and losing all your freedoms and comforting yourself by asserting you haven't.

What a misogynist you are. Double-dyed. And as an evolutionist one can only titter in embarrassment. A married man who thinks he is not under the cosh is one of the most amusing spectacles the world has to offer.
If you value your partner then they are a gain and not a loss... You seem naive as to imply you think the grass is always greener on the other side. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Excerpt from an email I received today: The Department of Defense has released its landmark study, 9 months in the making. It came to the same conclusion as numerous experts' reports and 25 other countries.

They all agree on one simple, inescapable truth: Lesbians and gays should serve openly in the U.S. military.

@RexRed,
According to CBS the active units don't agree.

As Ronald Reagan would say, "There you go again." always (when it suits you) on the side of what homophobes and mobs think rather than what is just and fair.

Spendius I just read in today's paper that 2/3's of the troops voted to rescind the don't ask don't tell policy... 2/3!

John McCain thinks it will hurt the troops ability to hold an erection (cynical). I am so sorry I voted for John. I have less than zero respect for him these days.

@RexRed,
I merely reported what CBS said the other night. It was contrary to what you said. You said "all agree" and CBS said that the active service troops didn't. The Marines were specifically mentioned. Those with desk jobs on large bases were basically the ones you were talking about.

http://www.pressherald.com/news/Pentagon-study-dismisses-risk-of-openly-gay-troops-.html

And I know gays serving on the front lines who are in combat on a daily basis and have served since way back when things were really bad in Iraq.

The army knows they are gay but they fill such a vital role in the war.

No need to lie about it when you are a top gunner. Is this a double standard?

What I mean is that DADT only applies when you are not doing the dirty work.

What do the republicans and the oppressive regime in Iran have in common?

They discriminate against gays. Birds of a feather.

Susan Collins here in Maine was one of the only republican who voted to rescind the DADT policy in the senate. SHAME ON YOU REPUBLICANS for not following her lead! Susan Collins we are very proud of you!

We have the best republican senators here in Maine! I have always been so proud of our senators Collins And Snowe here!

When they do dissent against the democrats on certain issues I am inclined now to listen to them... and not just assume their objections are partisan motivated... Actually I have always been inclined to listen to them.

YAY Snowe and Collins! Bravo and thank you for doing what is fair and humane.

http://www.kjonline.com/Snowe-Collins-support-repeal-of-Dont-Ask-Dont-Tell.html

The best of the best! Also, hats off to Lieberman!

It behooves the other republicans to follow suit. Snow and Collins and a few others are the only vestige of the party left that I respect.

The rest of you all are simply disgraceful (you know who you are). I would reconsider carrying my republican membership card in my wallet if more republicans were like Collins and Snowe.

AGAIN, THANK YOU!

@RexRed,
What got my ganders up during this whole affair was what the marines general said about gays in the military; he doesn't belong as a general - no less a private in our military with his mindset; he's a bigot and a peon of the brain.

I agree! and I bet Obama is waiting 'till this vote is over to boot his homophobic ass Smile And what about McCain? To think I actually voted for him!

I have learned how wrong I can be about judging a person's character.

I will be voting for Obama in the next presidential election come hell or high water. Obama has proven his good character. And Palin "tolerates" her gay friends... Well Sarah, how about "accepting" them?

@RexRed,
I would not have voted for the McCain that ran in 2008; he's a different person now than the one I thought I knew from about ten years ago when I would have given him my vote. He flip-flopped on too many issues during the campaign, and his pick of Palin told me - he lost it up there.

I just wish I had woke up sooner to have given Obama the nod. That still bothers me. But I am in a happy place now with my new democrat friends.

RL the video audio is faked.

Look at what good he has done in policy, he stopped our economy from tanking. That alone shows he is a sentinel for America. He has tried to bring health care to the poor. I trust Obama. He got us out of Iraq and he is taking the fight to the enemy in Afghanistan. He has improved American's image worldwide what negative effect could that have? Obama is working hard for us and it behooves us to trust him and support his policies that are change long needed. Notice the next video after this one you posted on youtube is David Ickes who had reported that George Bush and the British royalty are shape shifting lizard people who are a secret DNA super race created by our governments... Sound a bit over the top?

If Obama wanted to wreak havoc with our country there are MANY ways he could have done it long before now that I am not even going to state them here. The republicans are the only ones i see obstructing much needed legislation on purely political grounds. They had Bush dumping money into tax breaks for the wealthy for 8 years and not a single job was gained. I have nothing but profound admiration for both Mr and Mrs Obama. I pray for them and whole heatedly believe they are looking out for America's best interest as it relates to the world we are apart of.

The video you posted was created by the birthers who could not prove otherwise that Obama was not born in Hawaii so they needed to fabricate a bold faced lie to try and stir up controversy. Obama is an American, I care much more about the quality of his performance as president. The video you posted avoided that subject like the plague.

Notice the Russian treaty was bi partisan and pushed through the senate by John Kerry was John also born in Kenya?

@RexRed,
Yes RexRed I think that you are correct about the audio and I do think that most everyone knows that. I think that it was just there to get people to think of how easy people can distort things.

I do think that we are on the same page at times. there are things that we can agree on. How about this, "it is more straight forward! http://www.youtube.com/user/Neanderthalcouzin#p/c/5AA711F6433B5B47/0/KnJX68ELbAY

@RexRed,
Rex,
I need to correct you on one part.
I have not seen the video in question, so I can't comment on it.
However, Obama did NOT get us out of Iraq.
That was done by Bush,under an agreement he made with the Iraqi government.
Obama just happened to be President when the planned withdrawal was completed.

If McCain had won, would you ne giving him the credit for getting us out of Iraq?
