@reasoning logic,
Go away and boil your silly ******* head. You're barmy. We are fighting Sharia law and some of our soldiers are being killed and maimed to do it.

Just what are you getting at?

@spendius,
spendi, We are not fighting sharia law; we are fighting terrorists in Afghanistan-Pakistan who are hell bent in harming innocent people around this planet - and that includes the UK.

@spendius,
What I think that I see is that we too have our own ideology that is not ethical but we are blind to it!

Matthew 15:2
Pharisees: Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

Matthew 15:3
Jesus: But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

James 2:12
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

The fear of sharia law is so overplayed.

Oklahoma just had a ballot measure that specifically makes it impossible to enact sharia law (not that a ballot measure was even needed to prevent this).

@reasoning logic,
rl, We are not blind to it; most of us recognize the fact that the US has committed crimes against humanity, and those in power should be accountable for them in a world court or any court that sees fit to prosecute these crimes. But, I won't hold my breath.

Homosexuals feel love too. Many if not most homosexuals long for that special person to come into their lives and complete their existence.

Gays will search for that no matter what laws try and prohibit it.

Just as heterosexuals love and long for that specials person to complete their lives and are motivated by the law of natural attraction between consenting adults too.

The law is written in the heart and the judgments of the heart cannot be denied.

To call ones "love" a marriage and another's "love" a union when many marriages end up in divorce and many unions inherit or adopt siblings is only meant to be a statement of class rather than a statement of love and commitment.

The central meaning of marriage should not be out of an issue of class and status but solely of a status that is fostered by a commitment to love and bond as lifetime partners.

Homosexuals feel love too and they should not be second rate citizens as if that love is not good enough to qualify against some prejudiced set of antiquated ideas.

@RexRed,
RR, I often wonder why "other people" wants to restrict the use of a word for homosexuals as if it will impact their own lives. They want to intrude into other people's lives based on a word. Their tiny brains can't accept simple concepts while they claim they believe in our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. They make arguments for its use by homosexuals by using nonsensical ones such as "it's to protect the family unit" or "it should be restricted to a man and a woman" as if they make any sense.

This will always remain a mystery.

Why don't these people want everybody else to have a happy and loving life?

@cicerone imposter,
It's not that at all ci. You really are too precious.

One feels that when a man says he is married one can exercise the due amount of sympathy and understanding of his plight. That he has been to the hymeneal altar and signed his freedom away.

One can't think such things about a homosexual relationship. It is not the same thing at all.

That's because you don't understand human sexuality.

Funny that you think of heterosexual marriage as signing your freedom away and I think of homosexual marriage as gaining a freedom.

There you go. Complete opposites. What do you want to apply the same word to complete opposites for? Is it a habit? The incomprehensible rendered comprehensible with a word. No "ball and chain" for you eh?

You just blew your whole position away. Are you a quarter-back or a receiver? We all know which is which, usually anyway, with a heterosexual couple.

@spendius,
spendi, I have a clue for you; not all men think like you do about losing their freedom when they marry. You're always an exception to almost every rule.

@cicerone imposter,
Well ci--I can imagine you getting married and losing all your freedoms and comforting yourself by asserting you haven't.

What a misogynist you are. Double-dyed. And as an evolutionist one can only titter in embarrassment. A married man who thinks he is not under the cosh is one of the most amusing spectacles the world has to offer.

spendi, This is not about me; I have all the freedoms I need and want. I can travel as often as I wish to any place on this planet. I have more freedom than 90% living today, and that includes you!

@cicerone imposter,
Now we do not know for sure that you have more freedom than Spendius!
Example; If Spendius has been in the closet about many things, he does have the freedom to come out of the closet if he choses to. Dont you agree Spendius that you could come out of the closet if you chose to?
