Exactly!

If they go to that church. The Unitarians and other churches will marry homosexuals.

The part about the contract is where you'll run into trouble. If the point of the contract was solely for the benefit of the two people getting married, this wouldn't be so bad. You could even get married at a bank, they do contracts. Homosexuals don't need a church. The problem is that if marriage has ANY sort of recognition (child custody, hospital visitation, tax filing, etc), the contract from the Catholic church must be recognized in the same way as the Unitarian church.

I don't recommend that Foofie. They are far too sensitive for anything of that nature.

@spendius,
The Porphyry Chair

Quote:
No pope could be elected to the papal office who lacked testicles, and his eligibility was accordingly tested in the specially built Porphyry Chair,
a model of which can be seen in the Louvre, in Paris.

The Pope, it is said, would sit on the horseshoe-shaped seat and a cardinal,
after checking by manual examination, would proclaim:

'Testiculos habet et bene pendentes'
(He has testicles and they hang well).

That's to ensure no butch dames got through.

Spendius do you know for a fact that my ancestors did not make up much of what you call your bible so that they could exploit you?

@spendius,
This is what my pastor said today at church. For some reason I think that you are following me, you went to my church today didn't you? At least you are being honest. Why didn't you speak up when the pastor said it was ok to be gay?

@reasoning logic,
I think it is okay to be a homosexual. I'm not up for them getting married though or defying a democratic vote. If they want to push those two matters they are taking big risks.

When did I say anything about homosexuals not being okay? I'm easy going but I do think avoiding women is a bit of a cop out. Expecting the same rights as those who take that risk is more than selfish in my opinion. It's like playing classy cover drives in the nets. Or air guitar stuff.

@spendius,
Ok I do believe that you know that I was only joking in my last post, but I do have a serious question for you though. Have you ever studied neuroscience? If you had a brain tumor or some other brain broblem would you seek the help of a neurosurgeon?
The reason why I ask is because if I am not mistaken 99.9% of them have a different view point about religion than you do. If you would like I think that I could prove it. Now I do realize that I could be wrong. I am only sharing info with you that I have studied from neuroscience.

The one big lie that I have found amongst gays is their concern for their "gay rights" after they come to a large urban center with a gay community. However, back home, possibly in "podunk U.S.A.," where the degree of homophobia can be "off the charts," so to speak, they say nothing to condemn their hometown folk, or what they do say sounded apologetic to me. This reminds me of Southern Blacks that act friendly to Whites back home in the South, but have so much criticism of Whites after they migrate north. I think the operant word is "hypocrisy."

Could you please give the name of a person for an example of a person who behaves as you have suggested? Thanks

What is your point? I do not personalize my posts with names, so do not "thank" me. But that does not make my premise false. In my opinion, there are some gays that become "transplants" to the large urban gay communities and become very much for the gay rights agenda; however, back home in their homophobic towns, they said nothing! Let us say they were not jeopardizing their safety. But, to come to the "big city, and then they might acquire a "big mouth" can be viewed as Janus faced, regardless of the correctness of keeping their mouths shut in their homophobic hometowns!

Your postings to me are becoming boring, since I already understand your position. You should understand mine by now.
