I agree but in exodus 34 I only see ten and I can only guess that is why it says in exodus 34:28 that theses are the Ten Commandments

Yes, the multiplicity of laws existed soley to act as a ". . . tutor leading to Christ." (Galatians 3:24)

What about You, Rex? Did you get bitten by a snake? Or did you realize certain gifts of the early Christians were temporary?

I'll go with the understanding of temporary.

I count either 9 or 12 in addition to the original 10 which are referenced in vs. 1-4. I could have missed some in compound sentences; also some appear to have been restated. I have no doubt the original 10 were simply restated as the Ten Words. Many Bible experts seem to agree with me. even those of Judaism and nominal christianity. So I see no reason to entertain your argument further.

@neologist,
Nobody would invent commandments for things we don't want to do. So presumably we are being commanded to do what we don't want to do and to not do what we do want to do at certain times.

What would prevent us doing these things if there were no commandments?

I will be honest and say that exodus 34 is somewhat hard to understand so I do have to give you credit even if you understand it incorrectly.

You say that you see many more than ten commandments in it? will you please explain? Is there a possibility that some of it is only narrative? Please share what you see.

Just because I may disagree with you, I am not going to belittle you for your differences.

Do you have any evidence that we did? I think we all started out with less than the apes have and the bible seems to be evidence of human evolution.

Rex it would be nice for you to help me to see where I am wrong, I know that I speak of things that many heterosexuals disagree with but I do it to help them see mine and also others point of view and I try to let them see a different way forward.

Maybe I have it all wrong but how will I know that I do if others like you do not explain it?

I once had a ditty writing period and one line I remember from one of them was--"her conscience was the size of a pip".

@RABEL222,
Well, with politics, even so-called intelligent folks are racial bigots. And we all know they're not 'liberals.'

It's too bad they can't see their own bigotry. Bunch of losers.

@RABEL222,
I know, I don't like that at all. Were we not in the midst of so much Republican sponsored voter disenfranchisement it might be time to say voter discrimination is a part of the past. It is not though but still alive and well in Republican districts and this is a fight we need to be assured the racist tea party controlled states cannot win.

Drawing attention to this issue might very well bring democrat voters out in the next election in solidarity and hopefully they will vote out these tea party idiots once and for all...
