Nothing in that post has anything to do with marriage benefits... at all.

If you were to stop and think intellectually honest for a moment about the frequency that you bring up the financial advantage that heterosexuals have on society could you also think other alternatives as well?

I hear you repeat over and over how it is creation that is the reason for the pay out. If creation is the major concern than I would think that one may have an interest in paying per child than per marriage.
Would you kindly explain how it should not be per child when we know for a fact that not all marriages produce off springs and why you prefer to be taxed per marriage and not per child?

This is a very informed atheist who speaks about American history and many things that we have talked about. So you think you can prove him wrong? OK I will listen. Idea

@reasoning logic,
But we know that religion reverses everything rl. That's the general idea. You are probably thinking of "everything" in a limited way to suit your purposes.

Everything of real importance is what I'm considering. That's the reason for all the whining and whinging about religion by those who seek to put everything into first gear and inch forward gingerly.

Drag racing gives you an idea what the real deal is like.

You lot are bluestocking atheists. The married state is exactly what Aldous Huxley took pains to eradicate from his Brave New World. It's so, so bourgeois and thus ridiculous by definition. Or logical reasoning. Either way. Bourgeois is a by-word for ridiculous in some circles.

So there's no point in watching the video as it's another demonstration to show Grandmother how to suck eggs.

Our governments have been engaging reverse lately. Is it a bad thing in your eyes? Read William Burroughs.

@reasoning logic,
As you generally define words in a manner that tailors them to fit your reasoning logic, it is highly likely you haven't considered science, or what you think of as science I hasten to add, as the reversing mechanism.

If we do blow the joint up, as many are warning of, science will have reversed us over a cliff which no pre-scientific culture could have remotely managed. One might say without exaggeration that science is the only mechanism with the power to back us over a cliff.

By "us" I mean civilisation.

Maybe he is gay and maybe he is not but what crime is there in having a conscience?

@reasoning logic,
I have defended Bradley Manning a lot better than that.

And without any reference to his sexual orientation.

It can be a crime having a conscience. The true scientist believes in sharing scientific knowledge with other scientists, and with the public.

If you knew your child would be gay beforehand, would you abort it?

That is an odd question Rex. If you knew that your child was going to be born both mentally and healthy "hermaphrodite or heterosexual would you abort it? Shocked

You have a hostage to fortune on your hands there Rex but I'm far too polite to cash it out.

Rex I can only guess there are many reasons that some parents would want to abort a gay child 2 that come to my mind is out of hate and out of love but then there is even a third reason "ignorance" but isn't ignorance in the category of hate?

You may ask how could a parent do it out of love and I could only guess that they would not want to subject a child to a world that is going to be so hateful towards their child that could cause him to commit suicide or be killed at the hands of homophobias.

Maybe you need a 2 minute tea party education to understand this mentality of hatefulness. Who knows maybe it will cheer you up and give you something to laugh at or be disgusted with.

@RexRed,
I assume we believe in God/s because it works better than our not doing.

As soon as it works better to not believe in God/s I think we will cease believing.

Why don't you make the case for it working better if we do cease believing? Lenin did. Mao as well.

A revolution in our beliefs is not going to come about for your convenience.

My wife and I would not consider abortion under any circumstance.

Your thinking has corroded, Rex.
