@reasoning logic,
I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but being 'OK with how things are like,' is too vague and wide ranging to actually mean anything.

Bye Bye Cheerios?: General Mills announces support for gay ‘marriage’
http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/bye-bye-cheerios-general-mills-announces-support-for-gay-marriage/

I know this is old news that General Mills is now LGBT friendly but I take these things seriously...

I refuse to shop at a vendor who discriminates against race or sexual preference.

This is what a boycott is all about. I refuse to donate to a charity or church that is funneling their money into hate groups..

I support the idea that "political" churches be stripped of "tax dollars" for the exact same reason... Some people say it is foolish for gays to boycott these hate supporting companies. Deep down they don't care about 14 year old LGBT teens killing themselves...

If these companies were out in the open campaigning against women's rights to vote or the rights of a racial minority then people would look at it a bit differently huh?

I just recently found out Dunkin' Donuts also supports hate groups... They are listed second after the biggest hate supporter Walmart...

http://ahbab.blogspot.com/2003/07/dunkin-donuts-accused-of.html

About 50 years ago during the hippy era of the 60's I recall talk of the Dunkin' Donuts in Ellsworth Maine occasionally having dancing girls on the tables... There was talk of them selling beer... And during the 70's and 80's Dunkin' Donuts was were you would go to score a hooker or buy drugs... Now they can't even serve coffee to a butch lesbian or gay guy in drag?

I will stick with Starbucks who support diversity. Besides, Dunkin' Donuts coffee tastes like it is watered down with everything but coffee... Their secret corporate recipe is nothing but fillers to cut corners so they don't have to serve you a real cup of coffee...

As for their donuts, well, I don't eat fried chemicals if I can avoid them...

@RexRed,
Rex I really do think that you are on to something very big when you expose all of the groups that suppress human rights by their donations to hate groups.

I think that this very well may work if we all come together in this effort by not shopping at these places. I think that what will take this idea over the top is if we make sure that we boycott all corporations who engage in any type of rankism. "I do realize that I am a realist and I try not to be to naive about it, so I do think that we have to take this one step at a time.

When we boycott these places some people will lose their jobs but the other companies who are getting our business may be able to hire these people and this may build a more ethical world.

You may not agree with me but I think that we all should be valued equally even those who are intellectually or environmentally challenged. When I say equally I am not saying that there should not be structure or rules to follow but I do think that where we are today is a far cry from where we could be if we stopped believing and started using a more scientific method.

@reasoning logic,
rl, When you talk about "ethics and morals," different people view them differently. That's what is so daunting about religious' belief; they believe they are following the word of god.

It's a dilemma for the human species.

It is probably advisable to take starving yourself to death one step at a time rl.

The Bible also talks about "temperance"...

When judgment and self righteousness usurps temperance, godliness becomes vanity...

Galatians 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

2 Peter 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

@RexRed,
I don't think christians remember those lessons about "temperance."

If they remember it, they're just ignoring it.

They claim every word is true and God's word while they skip over the parts they don't like... The same goes for all the so called "holy books" and their avid adherents...

RL here is more on the boycott...

I am not saying that your source is not creditable but I would like to see the surveys and hear some peer reviews and also a spoke person for the cooperation address the issues or to decline to.

Walmart? I did not know.

J C Penny stocks soar thanks to Ellen and gay friendly shoppers. It is the longevity that counts not the flash mobs of repressed homophobes at Chck-fil-a...

http://marketday.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/08/10/13221441-jc-penney-shares-soar-on-signs-of-improvement?lite

I have been to shop at Penny's twice since the Ellen thing and actually bought quite a few items. Where I hadn't been there in years prior. The million moms against Ellen thing turned out to be a handful of crazy religiophobes. Within a week Ellen had more likes on her page than the million haters page... The million moms Facebook page, which were turns out were only a few repressed homophobic individuals needing serious psychiatric help, they have since retracted this page from Facebook. I guess they did not want their private names associated with such a hateful in your face campaign again LGBT people. Watch and see Chick-fil-a will suffer because of their hate in the long run... Does hate prosper long in America? Hopefully some Wall Street homophobe is stuck holding the bag full of greasy, stale, putrid oil fried, overcooked, under-seasoned, stinking rotten smelling Chick-fil-a chicken...

Americans deserve merchants who cater to our sacred constitution of equality and democracy and not to their hateful slanted dogma they try and call "Christianity"...

@RexRed,

What the hell is with some gay people's lisps? Making fun of the way gay guys talk is stupid but this video is hilarious in contrast to the disaster, with all these guys talking feminine.
