Highest Number Of Anti-Gay Murders Ever Reported In 2011: The National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs

Comment: A young gay Latino friend of mine is still recovering from being beat up then raped by a "straight guy" who is now in jail for this offence. Yes this is happening, sad but true... LGBT people need equality and legal protections from hate now more than ever.

@RexRed,
How do you know it is not the militant, "in your face", arrogant promotion of homosexuality that is causing the attacks rather than the homosexuality itself?

Both the London and Paris police had lists of thousands of homosexuals who were being left alone at the time of Oscar Wilde's prosecution.

That opinion says a lot about the beautiful spirit that dwells within your being.

@RexRed,
Quote:
Marriage equality and gay rights advocates on Tuesday hailed a decision by the full Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to refuse to review a panel’s decision that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional.

The refusal means almost certainly that proponents of California’s ban on same-sex marriage will soon file an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Well they would wouldn't they. It's the fees and emoluments and the chance to be on the news. The legal profession increasing its pot of dough and influence: which is dough as well.

There's sod all in not going up the money ladder to the USSC. And think of D Day. The members of the Court will be on TV all day long explaining their 5--4 decision against. Which will be a tempter to file more appeals on the "just one more heave" principle.

@spendius,
Francois Rabelais' analysis of the legal profession should be a mandated part of every Civics course.

They should do a movie on the Darby and Darby theme. Get Nicholson in the pitcher's part. If there's not $100 million in that I'm a cross-eyed Eskimo.

You're certainly not Eskimo. As for legal re-analysis, let the mind run its circles, people will still be who they are/were just to be what they are not.
