I have always been fascinated by the details of modern Native American life, but you'd think it was a top secret if you try to look it up, even in National Geographic and the Encyclopedia Britannica. I would welcome any information from anyone, especially a reference to any book that might enlighten me. I want just the facts as Joe Friday says.

Check out any of Tony Hillerman's stories of the Navajo Police. Fictional, but unless you need a reference that can be cited, it is about the best you're going to get.
