I am doing fine thanks. Shows how plain old gal I am, I don't even know what 'jimmy choo's' are.

I always pictured Alaska as this snow covered wilderness with just natives dressed in wolf furs and dog sleds. Your right it is a pretty place. Those folks look like people I could meet when I go to town except I think our court house might actually be bigger than the Alaska Governors mansion.

Next is "the" place to eat and watch a movie. (lol)

from what i can tell, juneau life is similar to your town and others around there like e-town and hopville.

i've actually been through your town quite a few times on the way to gigs and traveling with my dad once in a while. that was a real long time ago, when i was there earlier this year, i didn't see that things had changed radically in the rural areas.

when i got up to derbyville, they sure had. i was all fouled up the whole time i was there. i had a heck of a time finding our old house out by oldham; most of the farms were gone and housing developments in their place, new roads and a few that weren't there any more.

you know that saying,"you can never go home"?

wrong. you can go home, ya just can't find your way around it anymore. Laughing

@DontTreadOnMe,
I wouldn't really know, dtom, I haven't ever really left home to start with.

But your reply puts me in mind of that song, "Who says you can't go home?" by Bon Jovi. Didn't the McCain camp run into some trouble with copywrite with them?

Quote:
Jon Bon Jovi to John McCain: Don't play my music!
Hey, Republicans! Stop using our music!

Jon Bon Jovi just released a statement about Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin using his band’s song -- "Who Says You Can't Go Home" -- during her rallies this week.

Bon Jovi, it should be noted, hosted a big well-publicized fund-raising dinner for Barack Obama at his house. So it's not like John McCain’s camp didn’t know better.
