I was also surprised that Bill killed the old wheelchair man, then just dropped his body off the end of the pier into the swamp. Seems like that body is likely to be found sometime, all drained of blood and covered with vampire bites.

@rosborne979,
I wasn't surprised. Bill is ruthless about his Sookie. And I doubt that body is ever found. Gators will find it first.

@eoe,
I was not surprised either.
I would have been surprised if he did NOTHING about it.

I just caught a peek at one of the books the series is taken from, a passage including narrative from Sookie where she says that Bill comes into the bar, she serves him a bottle of the synthetic blood and he 'pinkens up' almost immediately.

I've noticed on the show that sometimes he's paler than other times. Can't recall any reference to it, it seems so logical but, just for the record, when a vampire is particularly pale, it means he/she needs to feed and once it does, there's a noticeable change in appearance? Is that how it goes?

That statement about Bill being ruthless when it comes to Sookie brings up a point I didn't know I hated until now...

Why is he so damn protective of her? There isn't any indication that they have a past of some sort (unless I've missed something, and if so, fill me in please). It's just like they met and the writers wanted to get into the story so they rushed this whole thing of them being inseparable.

@rosborne979,
Having seen the first half of this weeks episode now, I am not at all surprised. The old guy was her uncle who she said molested her when she was small. No surprise at all Bill killed him.

@Bella Dea,
Where's your imagination, Bella?

Sookie is precious to him. A mortal? Who finds peace with him and wants to be with him? Just put yourself in his shoes, imagine what life must have been like for him since 1851 (?) and it's not so hard to imagine why he would eliminate anything that had ever harmed or threatened her. He made it pretty clear when he saved her life and she drank his blood that they were connected forever. At this point, their relationship is just about the only solid and clearcut aspect of the show.

I'm just glad she didn't tell Bill that her brother slapped her.

@eoe,
It just seems too....contrived. Too...boring. I don't know. I just don't feel ok with it for some reason. I don't know what it is.

It looked like a boob bite. I can't wait for them to get to the inner thigh bite, then the show's gonna get really interesting. Smile

I've been reading the HBO TrueBlood Forum periodically. I seem to be just about the only male viewer. It's amazing how fixated the women are on Bill and Eric. They make it sound like the plot doesn't matter. Women are watching this show the way guys watch porn, if they could fast-forward to Eric in the bathtub I bet they would.

Meanwhile Sam just gets weirder, Eric is testing Sookie's powers, Tara is about to be de-demonized, and the vampire who likes to watch Heroes on Monday night (I can't believe they put that in there) is about to get rape-drained by the granola chick from Connecticut.

I can't wait for next week's episode. Smile

So? What does everyone think so far?

The TrueBlood world has ShapeShifters, Werewolves, Telepathic girls and Vampires but apparently Demons are just in the imagination of the local pharmacy lady.

Who was that lady who caused Tara to run off the road? And was that a pig by her side?

And the killer was someone who was at the party. Was it Terry, Rene or someone else?

@rosborne979,
I don't like where they're going with this. It's becoming too episodic and disconnected for me.

@rosborne979,
I liked the vampire angle and the thing between Sookie and Bill but now they seem disconnected from one another and all of the other plotlines are scrambled up"I don't think they know what to do with Tara (Mae? Last week was the first time we heard of Tara Mae, right?)"and now they want to introduce shapeshifters and there's talk of werewolves and they're just all over the place now. What is the show supposed to be? I thought it was going to be an interesting take on vampires and humans but now it's resembling a horror soap opera of some kind.

And I don't like what's happening to Sookie's character. She started out sweet. Now, she's not so sweet. But I guess it's hard to stay sweet when your banging a vampire in the graveyard, huh?

@eoe,
The plot lines are becoming more tangled, but I guess I expected that from the beginning. My concern whenever this happens is that they may not ever unravel them again. But we'll see.

I'm still entertained by trying to figure out what the background conspiracy is and how the various cultures of creatures (vampires, humans, shapeshifters, werewolves and telepaths) all interact with each other.

I guess I'm still enjoying the mystery part of the story even though the love story has cooled off for now.

Only one more episode to go for this season. I heard that TrueBlood is getting very good reviews and they are already filming the second season.
