@Region Philbis,
just to be fair to all, a federal judge has delayed the suspensions for further study...

@realjohnboy,
RJB, my sincere apologies for the changes. Based on the MN Vikes Williams' non-suspension, that changes my view of this matchup. Please change my pick BACK to the MN Vikes over Detroit Lions.

Ragman is correct. This definitely changes prospects for a Detroit win. However, I will stick with my choice of Detroit.

@wandeljw,
Hello wandeljw. Here in Michigan, the Detroit locker room has an urgency for one win. They do not want to be winless. This week, or weeks to come, a win is probable.

@wandeljw,
We should set up a side bet, Wandel. What do you think of that? If you (Lions team) win, I owe you a beer..and vice versa. The toughest part will be driving to Chi-town (?) if I lose.

No need for a beer, Ragman. If Detroit wins, Alex and I will share a big laugh at your expense. Smile

I understand that the NFL is eyeing the idea of a team in Toronto. Barring expansion, the most likely team to go there is Buffalo. Any comments on that?

@realjohnboy,
I don't know the situation for the team at Buffalo, except it doesn't play in a dome. But I'm something of a sympathizer, hoper, for Buffalo as a city, and I'd hate to see them lose the team.

@edgarblythe,
leave it to the city in the glass house to throw the first stone...

(doesn't Houston have a history of losing their franchise to other cities Ed?)

I'll have to research that...

@realjohnboy,
I can see the Bills playing some late-season games there.
They'd get to be under cover and the CFL season would be over.

But an outright move? I don't think so.

@realjohnboy,
It's sorta kinda the other way around. Toronto's eyeing Buffalo.

The owner of the Buffalo team has made it clear that his family doesn't want to keep the team after he dies (inheritance tax issues, among other things). The Buffalo market's not holding up well.

They're going to play their first game in Toronto today - good money for the Bills. They got cash for the game upfront.

There was some good stuff on the radio about it the other day. I'll look for it. Hmmm, and an article in Toronto Life I believe.

I thought the article was a bit of an ach not so brilliant piece, but interesting if you don't know the parties involved.

@ehBeth,
So the Miami-Buffalo game today is not in Buffalo? Hmm. The weather in Buffalo today is scheduled to be 16 degrees with a 30% chance of precip.
In a few other game towns: Chicago: 20 degrees + 40% chance; Green Bay: 15 + 50%; Pittsburgh: 22 + 70%.
