My, my. We have an incredible herd mentality in Week #14. The 20 of us are unanimous in 5, I say 5, games: CL vs TN; JAX vs CHI; KC vs DEN; NE vs SEA and SL vs AZ.
George was the sole selector of OAK and he is the only one to have SF over the NYJ and PH against the NYG. George seems to hate anything related to NY.
Wandeljw and Alex have Detroit over MN and Imur and Miz Cowdoc are the only 2 players with CI vs IN.
We are more evenly divided in the Atlanta-NewOrleans game (11-9); Miami-Buffalo (12-8) and TB-CA (13-7).

Ragman wins the Mr Congeniality prize this week. He agrees with everyone on all the games. Osso, ElStud, Jespah, Region, Fbaezer and Ehbeth are off by 1 from the majority. Then there are the rest of us at 2 or 3. George is out of step on 5 games.

I like Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island, too.

@Foxfyre,
I suppose, as it relates to "being pawed"...

(congrats to Georgie on the Iggles pick, I considered it, but dint have the stones)

@Rockhead,
Congrats indeed to George who was the only one to have Philly.
A bunch of us have 2 or 3 wrong. A few 4's.

Steelers win. I am happy.
And so must be George, as he leads this ungulated herd with just 2 miscues so far. His disdain for the teams from NY paid off for him.
Rockhead, Jespah, McGentrix, Fbaezer and Ehbeth follow with just 3 wrong.
Two games left. There is a scenario where someone with 4 losses could get back in. Too complicated to get into until we see how the BA-WA game turns out.
I thought the BU-MI game would be outside, and chose BU based on that. Domed stadiums are for wusses.

@Rockhead,
They (Dolphins) might go to play-offs, but they could be one-and-done. Of course, when I looked at my Pats progress to playoffs, for a good portion of today's game, it looked like their season was up in flames. It still could be lost, if they don't win the rest of their games. For an AFC wildcard spot it might need an 11 -5 record to get there.

Yep, warm the bills up, and they give ya 3 points...

As to my Dolphins, I doubt they get there, they certainly won't win a game, and they still too closely look like the Miami Patri-jets for my taste...

@Region Philbis,
Yeah , amen to that. They don't get too many style points for that win. Heck, Junior Seau - should be called Senior Seau. They basically called him back..off of the street. Getting scarey for Pats fans. Their D is not inspiring at the time of the season when it really needs to be.

@ossobuco,
Yes, I'd like to see Singletary and the 'Niners succeed. It's good for that area and for football to have a strong franchise there (and with Raiders, too).

WEEK #14: George is having a very good run, with only 2 misses so far. There are 4 with 3 errors each-McGentrix, Jespah, Fbaezer and EhBeth. McGentrix has TB in tonight's game. Everyone else of the 5 folks has CA. A win by CA would give the week to George. A TB win would set up a tie between George and McGentrix. George guesses a total of 41 points while McGentrix says 51. The dividing line is 46; less than that would be good for George while more than that would make McGentrix happy. Exactly 46 would force them into the 2nd tiebreaker.

@realjohnboy,
What a great game Carolina had last night against TB. I was floored with the performance of Carolina. That rushing game I saw last night no one could stop. You could see Carolina just running right over, around and through the Bucs. These two guys, Stewart and Williams (Smash and Dash), scored 2 TDs each and 299 yd together. They looked like they're knocking down bowling pins. Hell, on top of that, TB's Bryand had 200 rec yrds!

TB is/was known for great defense - particularly against the run and they had only had ONE rushing TD scored on them to that point. TB's Ronde Barber was straight-armed twice (in a row) and pushed down on the turf - making him look silly. What a way a proud great defender like him was housed. Let mwe tell you the fight and determination of these unners HAD to take the wind right of the Bucs.

These guys sure look for real. I don't know how badly TB will be affected for the rest of their games, but Carolina sure looks like they got things worked out for the playoffs. If QB stops underthrowing his receivers, they could be on their way to having a balanced and unstoppable attack. Looking for them next week.

@realjohnboy,

Question. Are we as a group getting any smarter - at least as measured by our collective winning percentage?
Week #1: .580
Week #2: .531
Week #3: .603
Week #4: .517
Week #5: .617
Week #6: .507 (except for Cowdoc we stank)
Week #7: .633
Week #8: .592
Week #9: .596
Week #10: .747
Week #11: .707
Week #12: .637
Week #13: .622
Week #14: .712
Season to date: .620

This was our 2nd best week. If we, as a group, hadn't gotten burned so badly in the GB-HO, NYG-PH and the NYJ-SF games, we would have had a remarkable week. Something like .866; so it goes.
My posting from yesterday had a huge error. I said that George had 2 losses going into last night's game. Wrong. There was that Oakland loss way up there at the top of the schedule. Sorry about that.
So George, McGentrix, Jespah, Fbaezer and Ehbeth were tied with 3 losses. The TB defeat sealed McGentrix' fate and left the others still tied at 13-3 after CA's win. George had a prediction of 41 total points last night while the others had less. The actual total was 61. So George still ends up winning Week #14.
I have McGentrix, Rockhead, Tico, Foxfyre and Ragman finishing at 12-4.
Osso, ElStud, Region and Cowdoc came in at 11-5. Johnboy, Edgar, Wandeljw, Imur, Alex, Mysterman and Miz Cowdoc limped in at 10-6.
