Well if Fred Hoyle said it, it must be right. What with all those dimwits like Dawkins and Hawking saying otherwise.

Have you actually read anything by Hoyle? I once read The Black Cloud, for a science fiction writer he makes a great astrophysicist.

I wonder whether Hoyle, were he still alive, would do an about face on his silly pronouncements of the 70;s and 80;s. Now that weve seen what an organisms genome looks like and how the genome preserves major chunks of the genomes of "previous lives" whether he and his partner" Ramjanpookee" would still be deniers .

Its that time of year when someone asks gunga for some evidence to support his "worldview". I can guarantee that, outside of a bunch of heavily used lists of "Quote mined" snippets, he will have nothing to offer. He is safe inhis belief just so long as he doesnt try to preach it in a science class of a public High SChool.

The other thing you have to like about Rastafari (at least compared to evoloserism and evolosers) is that Rastafari does not preach the idea of your neighbor being a meat byproduct of stochastic processes; nobody ever fought a world war over Rastafari or any sort of a doctrine based on Rastafari.

One more thing... If Rastafari were to be brought into the public schools, it would fit admirably into certain kinds of team teaching situations. In other words, a biology teacher looking for a way to put 25 teenagers into the right frame of mind for indoctrination into something as stupid as evoloserism/evolution could simply walk across the hall to the Rasta class for a box of spliffs...

Evoloserism can't lower IQ gunga because it can't recognise IQ. And it is restricted in sexual activity to mating seasons. That's why evolosers are grumpy.

It (evoloserism) has to at least lower the victim's normal immunity to brain-dead ideas in the same sense that murdering people gets easier after the first time you do it. I.E. believing in one or two really dog-stupid doctrines has to leave the victim more susceptible to the next such thing that comes along.

How does one not function in whatever world one is in?

On past form, using gunga's notion of bad habits getting easier and easier with practice, we can safely take it that to function is to function as you do. Roughly.
