@reasoning logic,
Yes--you do understand me correctly. That particular industrial space was about 300 feet by about 1oo feet. It contained a lot of machines.

Two or three asked me to give them a baby. One was quite persistant. Have you ever experienced mob banshees rl? Salt of the earth actually as long as there are no lawyers around.

Do you think women are entitled to have such a demand fulfilled on request?

@spendius,
Quit dreaming Spendius because you and I both know that if they were all after you "you would not have stood a chance against those manly{fifth ape} hormones!

There had to have been at least a few out of two hundred that would have aroused you!

But then again two hundred women at one time would seem kind of scary especially if a few of them might have wanted to be the dominant ones in the act!

Answer the question and cut the bullshit rl.

Why not mention the first time the Great Library at Alexandria was burnt down ? Why not mention the great works that were kept alive by Islam and Christianity that helped spur the renaissance ?

Poor old Gomer the turd reads that above and thinks :

As far as the Library of Alexandria serving as the source for the information that kindled the Renaissance

See how there is no connection but the one he imagined ? Unfortunately he is losing his mind and blames others .

And what is your reply ? You go on about things that werent even part of what YOU disagreed with .....nice attempt to change the subject....I predict your next response will be how I didnt offer any evidence against your contention....are you out to prove senility for a pension or something ?

Quote:
Youve claimed to be an atheist yourself
AGNOSTIC, you dull fart ! Look them up in google . Of course to a drunken failure with a chip on his shoulder, you see what you want . Your supporters have met you...isnt that lovely ? You must be a nice guy if you can refrain from being psycho for one hour.....they are nice people in their own mind so you must also be, or else you will ruin their self image by association .

Now lets see what bullshit you come up with...try to remember the topic though....the liobrary at Alexandria was one, and the role of Cgristianity and Islam keepoing alive the knowledge from previous eras .

Gomer the turd must seek help....for alcoholism, low self image, over compensating, poor morality, etc ....

@Setanta,
Quote:
Members of the church were not allowed to shed blood, so they used red-hot irons, thumb screws, racks--that sort of thing.
Not all tortures were attended by an inquisitor . They had scribes, the local "police" were always in attendance and the methods used were what any criminal suspect would be subjected too .

Your attempt to blame religion for human nature and its failings show a very unscientific bias .

@Ionus,
Is this quote from Wikipedia true about the first time the Great Library at Alexandria was burnt down?

Julius Caesar accidentally burned the library down when he set fire to his own ships to frustrate Achillas' attempt to limit his ability to communicate by sea.[2] After its destruction, scholars used a "daughter library" in a temple known as the Serapeum, located in another part of the city.

What do you expect? Ionus believes he's a greater authority on Rome than Pliny the elder.
If you were an historian you wouldn't put so much emphasis on a single source solely because it is the only one you know of....do you think Pliny the Elder was an expert on what happened after his death ?

You know of one source and have no idea how reliable it is and in what areas it should be tempered....you do know there are other sources don't you ?

Didnt you once criticise someone for a post that didnt contribute ? Didnt you once shed a little tear that people were using ad hominems, pretending all the while that your suspicion of what it means was accurate ?

@reasoning logic,
My understanding is that a fight broke out between the soldiers of Caesar and the town guard . The library was down near the docks, and a fire broke out, burning down the library....part of the docks and some ships also caught fire . So unless I thoroughly research it, I would say it is wrong given what I already know .

@Setanta,
Im sorry this day went by rather quickly and I missed your post re the libraries. I think that ANUS will probably harrumph and try to change the subject, or if he doesnt, he will try to dance out on the end of a branch only tangentially associated with his and spendis original subject. He does that with annoying frequency and then expects that we are gonna miss his slippery change of position.

Shocked How can you state your emotional issues when applied to debate so succinctly but not realise you are talking about yourself ? What mechanism do you use to fool yourself because you arent fooling anyone else here . Who do you see in the mirror ? A beaten up drunk with a chip on his shoulder, like the rest of us see you ?

I do realize that many of you enjoy being extremely emotional towards each other{ I will let all of you decide who I am talking about but please do not forget to include me in because I am sure that I am also guilty of this mental phenomenon} but I was wondering if any of you great thinkers could point out the false information in this video!
Kind of like a peer review!
