I don't give a flying **** who puts me on Ignore. I'm pointing out that they are hurting themselves by snuggling up in the safety of a self-made comfort cocoon. And that they have disqualified themselves from the debate because it can't be a debate they want but a mere platform with a one-way megaphone.

1.) You've never contributed anything to the "debate."

2.) No one who has you on ignore is hurting. They have fewer headaches, which, means the opposite is true.

@plainoldme,
Those two points are contradictory.

The point of debate is to give the other side a headache you silly moo. If I have done that to the point of making it jump on the Ignore button I must be contributing something if only showing some viewers which points give the other side the headaches. Tried and tested and ready for use elsewhere if any viewers wish to achieve the same objective.

You obviously don't understand the first principle of public debate.

@spendius,
And another thing you prove pom is that if I have never used Ignore, which I haven't, the other side isn't giving me any headaches.

@spendius,
If W.C. Fields had been the only witness for the defence at Dover the plaintiffs would have been laughed out of shape. Veblen would have been funnier mind you.

@spendius,
Darwin introduced evolution to the world; his topic remains alive and well. WC Fields was a comedian of sorts who has been forgotten or never heard of since his demise in 1946. Take a poll of the children of today to see if they know of Darwin or Fields? No contest.

@cicerone imposter,
Poor little buggers then. Look what a fine mess you have got them in.

But which children? You're numbers bullying again. The few who do know W.C.Fields might well be those few who make movies and stuff and their influence be way out of proportion to their numbers.

Take a poll of those who knew Robert Johnson and Bing Crosby as kids. Bing would win hands down in a poll like your's. 10,000 to 1. At least. No contest. Bing couldn't even sing compared to Johnson's heirs.

W.C. is not forgotten here.

No, those two points are not contradictory. In fact, the second supports the first.

We're not talking about Bing Crosby or anyone else. Nice try, but you don't win a cupie doll.

Look pom.. I explained why they were contradictory. You've just asserted they are not.

@cicerone imposter,
You brought polls up. Not me. Bing was only an example. You downgraded W.C. Fields on the basis of your poll without any reference to the future influence he might exert through the few who don't downgrade him. That's all I meant. You were number bullying using your own numbers. Quantity over quality.

you need to learn a little about logic and self-introspection.
Like the logic of deciding something isn't worth reading because you already have that person on ignore. Thus the only alternate opinions you have are from "self-introspection" as you call it.

@spendius,
Yes, I was very specific in why I brought up polls; a comparison between Darwin and Fields. What you are doing is throwing in other names that doesn't apply in this discussion.

Have you no sense of relativism?

People are often put on ignore because their posts are not worth reading. You have things backwards.

@cicerone imposter,
A comparison between WC FILEDS and CHARLES DARWIN. My personal opinion is that Darwin couldnt tell a joke without throwing up .

Im not gonna ask how he drew the comparison, its probably something from out his ass(his favorite orifice of expostulation).

@farmerman,
Poor old fm. He must not be reading ci's posts either as it was him who made the comparison. All I said was that WCF would have laughed the Dover courthouse out of shape.

It's a lower-middle-class scheme to keep the lower orders under their control and use billions of Federal dollars, ostensibly to raise them up, for their own use. They are all in it. Journalists, lawyers, half-baked scientists, social workers, trouble makers, control freaks and diddicos of every stamp.
