After Cindy McCain declares herself an only child her half-sister goes public for Obama

When you own family won't vote for you, that's saying a hell of alot!

As always you can pick your friends and the politicians you want to vote for but your stuck with your relatives.

I've got to disagree. Squabbles are one thing but when a family member is on their way to the white house, (or the NBA, or the first on Mars, etc.), even if it's a second cousin twice removed on your stepmother's side, the small stuff gets pushed to the side in favor of catching even a bit of their glow for yourself. But this says "I don't want any parts of you" and that's saying alot, IMO.

Sloppy, dude. This isn't an inlaw.

Many families have squabbles that can erupt when one of them is flung into the national spotlight. We don't know the story. I remember Christian Bale's mother and sister going to him for a shakedown on the premiere night of his hit, Batman. When he didn't cough up money, they accused him of "pushing" them. Charges later dropped... You never know who did what. I'm sure we'll be treated to several versions of the facts...

Hopefully we won't. It is their personal business after all.

For pete's sake, the woman's is eleven years older than Cindy. Furthermore, her mother was married and divorced from Cindy's dad nine years before Cindy's birth.

Hillary Clinton's father was a die-hard Republican until his death, so it's a fair bet he wouldn't have voted for his daughter....nor did he ever vote for his son-in-law although according to Bill, he constantly tried to recruit him into the Republican party.

Yeah. I didn't want to seem to reflexively back Cindy. But, it DOES smack of sour grapes.

There's sister-in-laws and half-sister-in-laws.

Squabbles with siblings is a common occurrence. Most are temporary in nature, and what is said at one point can be changed later on. I wouldn't put too much weight on something said in anger.

Mildly interesting but not really -- I don't care, much anyway, about relatives, or even lies about not having relatives by a relative to the nominee. Not why I place my vote, she sniffs.
