Well that's a load of horseshit. The issue is that with 47 million people living in poverty making it on their own isn't the same game let alone in the same ballpark as those who are middle or upper class. There isn't any liberal I know who demands equality of result, but there are many who want equality of opportunity, AND THE QUESTION I ASK IS WHY DON'T YOU?
New data released today by the U.S. Census Bureau shows that the percentage of Americans in poverty increased from 12.3 percent in 2006 to 12.5 percent in 2007. However, these figures do not paint a complete picture of America's struggling low-income families.
