@okie,
What specifically is amateurish about it, Okie?

Quit being a jerk. If you are going to offer some substantive criticism, great - I like discussing stuff. But please quit trying to poke the libs with a stick to rile them up.

Hillary is two minutes into her speech and she's already done her job. She made her pitch to unite with Obama and then started laying into the Bush-McCain axis of idiocy.

@old europe,
Thats the most emotion by far that I've seen so far, all the Hillary people. Is this still the Clinton's party?

@Cycloptichorn,
I'm seeing a different Hillary speech, then. The one I'm seeing, she's extolled her own candidacy for 3.4 of the speech and mentioned Obama twice. The Clinton's can never, ever just get the f*ck over themselves.

@snood,
I guess so. She's doing a great job. You gotta keep in mind that she's addressing her holdout supporters, and almost nobody else.

Her 'ask yourself - were you really in it for me?' repetition line was perfectly suited to address them.

@maporsche,
I agree with snood. She couched her support of Obama by tooting her own horn. Just tooted Bill's horn. It gives the impression that Obama is a footnote in the Clinton story...

@Lash,
But Lash, she's not talking to you!

Her voters want to hear about her and Bill. Don't you understand that you are not her audience, and therefore, you're probably not going to like the speech?

She's pushing Michelle, Biden, and Obama as I speak.

We're liking her speech. Her composure, delivery, countenance far surpasses most public speakers.

She's talking to everyone in America with a TV, Cyclo. She also said positive things about McC...but she's criticisng him now.

@snood,
Well, a lot of her speech is about bringing her supporters over to the Obama campaign.... it makes sense to reference her own campaign, and address her supporters...

@dagmaraka,
If she had given this good a speech when running, she would have won. Even though I don't agree with her, as far as delivery, she is doing better than I have ever seen her, she is getting a response, the crowd is responding far better to her than they did almost anyone so far, certainly more than Michelle, Warner, and the clown from Montana.

Hillary's speech is very good; she's doing what she needs to do to give Obama the support of those who think only Hillary or McCain.

@Cycloptichorn,
Sweety, I was just going to say the same thing to you. I know the goals of her speech. Lackluster. But the crowd ate it up.
