As I explain in my Creative Advertising thread, I like to see good ads, they are often very creative. Guerrilla marketing is an area where creativity makes or breaks the campaign, and here I'd like to collect good examples of guerrilla marketing starting with this one:

To promote Shaq O’Neal's appearance on The Score these bricks were placed in front of sports bars and on basketball courts in a reference to Shaq's bad freethrows (bricks).

@Robert Gentel,
And here's a campaign for GTA 4, with the video game's character in wanted posters:

@Robert Gentel,
I'd never heard the term before - but thanks to google I found some - I'm not sure how to delineate between your two threads though, hope I get it right:

Based on your examples, you got it right. Guerrilla marketing is one of the more creative marketing mediums so there's naturally some overlap with the general creative advertising threads but you got the distinction.

Here's another for Air Canada:

@old europe,
I love this one. This is classic guerrilla marketing in its use of the environment for the creative.

@Robert Gentel,
Spore billboard that requires a telescope to see

Quote:

The folks from EA have installed what is probably the world's daintiest billboard in San Francisco's Union Square. At just 14" by 6", the Spore billboard requires a telescope to see.

Fortunately, EA has installed said telescope and aimed it directly at the wee Spore advertisement, giving passersby a chance to enjoy some smartly conceived marketing.

A handful of bloggers have been abuzz in the past week with news of the latest under-the-radar Burger King promotion. The fast food chain has dispensed agents across major U.S. cities (indications are it’s just been Chicago and Orlando so far) to “lose” wallets. However, when unsuspecting passersby find these wallets and open them, they discover an interesting message:

http://www.sogoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/burger-king-wallet-2.jpg

Yep, the wallets include notes telling the individuals who find them to go ahead and keep the wallets. Time Out Chicago reported on November 12th that Burger King planned to drop 5,000 of these wallets around urban hot spots in Chicago. According to reports from bloggers, the wallets contain actual cash, ranging from a $1 bill to a $100 bill, a gift card to Burger King, a “Drivers License” featuring The King, and a map of Chicago or Orlando area Burger King’s.

@Robert Gentel,
littlek started a thread about Burger King's Perfume. It's another good example of this kind of marketing from a company that's famous for it (especially since the subservient chicken campaign).
