I agree with Phonixes' sense of wonder statement. That includes people who continue to learn, those who do art, those who 'see' the world around them instead of just moving through it.
@Seed,
child like and childish....

I think those statements fit everyone though
What keeps me young?
Solving problems!

Nothing, I hope. I was born old and would like to keep it that way.

and if i may ask, why do you want to keeep it that way?
Raising a 2 year old along with a 9 and 14 year old at the age of 60. You have to be young to keep up with a 2 year old.

Because there's a certain grim pleasure in being an arrogant, misanthropic curmudgeon. Turning all young, positive and stuff would ruin that for me.

However, u don 't have to wait until u get home to go;
many alien cities have zooz. It almost killed me to visit Hong Kong 's zoo;
its on about a 45 degree angle hill. It coud be possible that maybe wherever u r
has a zoo; give it a chance, to see how good it is. Compare n contrast !

What keeps me young is not being able to accept how old I am. I just can't believe it!

they do, but we really dont get the time nor the chance to "go out on the town"
@Thomas,
I remember saying that in the earliest years of my life; before 5 years old.
U reminded me.

Understood.
Maybe u 'll get a day or 2 off.
@OmSigDAVID,
yes but we are not premitted to go out on the town for safety reasons
For those of you who enjoy zoos, go to Africa on a safari. It's the ultimate in seeing wildlife in their natural habitats, and you can sit right next to them in your vehicle taking their pictures. It's an amazing experience!
I keep young by traveling; I'm trying to see most of this planet called earth before my demise. It's a fascinating place where us humans live in different cultures and history, and to find out that we are all the same.
Many of the journeys I take includes visits to schools where we are able to mix and mingle with the children; they are all adorable. I remember our visit to a village school in Karatu, Tanzania, where 500 children came out of their classrooms to sing to us. There was not a dry eye in our group.
In China last November, we visited a grade school in a small village outside of Xian (famous for the terra cotta soldiers) where we spent the night. The children sang for us, and one of their children welcomed us in English. We were then partnered with a child to play games on the floor. We then attended an art class where a little girl was my partner, and we colored a picture she had already started, and gave it to me as a present.
It keeps me young - at heart.
