What a moronic thing for you to post - even incorrectly.

If you can't do better then this stuff, why do you waste your and my time?

Cycloptichorn

You're toasted on this issue. Your lack of self-control betrays the weakness of your argument, one in which associations are substituted for actual evidence.

As for your vote,

Go right ahead; Obama is going to win your state regardless of how you vote.

Michigan is the Kingdom of Dumb as far as I'm concerned.

That you would find solace in that speaks volumes.

You Berzerkeley elitist D's have no idea who is voting for your trash candidate. They are trash voters - they shouldn't even be allowed to vote.

I think the truth about who is really a racist is coming out.

I was talking about the WHITE UNION MEMBERS. They vote for who they are told to vote for. Thus my opinion. Who are you talking about? Eh?

Neither party is racist, but there are racists in both parties.

I'm talking about you, Cj.

Do an experiment - go back and read some of your posts in this thread, and pretend someone else had written them. Perhaps this will allow you to see how quickly you fly off the rails, when challenged on your silly race-baiting and what appears to be gigantic internal dissonance at the fact Obama is going to probably win this election.

1) I did not start this thread, Real Life did... and he did it because this guy Barrett says he is a Democrat (as he confirmed in a later post). I didn't start this argument (but I don't mind having it).

2) I didn't say Republican... I said "Conservative Republican". My point is there is a running theme in conservative Republican rhetoric that invokes the same rhetoric that KKK like groups use.

3) The platform you posted from the KKK doesn't sound anything like something that Democrats would support. Anti-homosexual, anti-foreigner, Christian based nation, anti-affirmative action, anti-environmental laws.... all of these fit fine in the Republican platform (if you are just saying this is a matter of degree, then point taken).

This isn't the first time you have tried to make this connection. It was stupid then as well.

None of them "fit fine in the Republican platform" but you won't let that stop you from perpetuating your fanciful ideas though.

Racism is not a plank in either "Conservative Republican" platform or the Republican platform. I know you wish it were so because that would enable you to continue your masterbatory displays of hate against those that disagree with you.

Folks with your pedigree thought McGovern was gonna win too. It's your insistance on supporting these douchebags that concerns me.

You can spot a young and inexperienced buck like epb, tko, or cylcops pretty easily without having to profile much.

Can you explain this in greater detail? For I think you are insinuating something you shouldn't be here.

cyclo,

You're not denying that historically the KKK was a tool of the Southern Democrats , are you?

No, I am not denying that. But that wasn't really the thrust of Cj's post; and additionally, I would say that the positions championed by Republicans and Democrats have changed somewhat in the last 40 years.

It is a well known fact that Republicans courted the southern vote and were inclusive of racists in their recruiting, with code words and the like. The KKK types liked the Republican cause and left the Democrats. Good riddance. They took quite a few non racist but misguided folks with them, which is the real tragedy of it.

I guess I'm eternally hopeful that Cj will grow up one day.

It's a silly position, but I haven't given up on him yet.

Only if you believe the Democratic spin.

A greater percentage of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than Democrats who were led by Al Gore , Sr.

His son, Al Gore Jr was famously characterized as having 'low negro tolerance' by a black congresswoman .

The Democrats are still the only party that refers to a former(?) KKKer as 'the Dean of the Senate' (Hint: he is the only Senator in recent memory to use the N word on national television when he admitted 'there are white niggers'.)

The Democrats have a superdelegate for Obama who is also a state legislator who said recently 'nigger is a term of endearment'.

It is Democrats who want to keep black kids trapped in poorly performing (but staffed by 100% card carrying union members) urban schools instead of allowing vouchers.

And I could go on.

Do you have to?

Because you are mostly boring everyone here.

Ask yourself, which party in Washington has exactly zero black elected officials? And when you figure out the answer, you'll see what I mean, when I say that the positions of the two parties have shifted somewhat since 40 years ago.
