Feel free to offer up as many "economic" theories as you wish. They haven't applied to oil for a long, long time now. Bush's comment KILLED the SPECULATORS. I've been saying for at least three years now that he needed to simply stand up and say something to the effect of "This is ridiculous" - and he finally did.
correlation causation
When Pharaoh Sobekhotep VIII waded through the floodwaters of the Nile inundations and ordered them to recede, the Nile seemed to obey him, and the waters receded.
Does that mean that he had control of the waters of the Nile?

Hahahahaha - but he knew that of course they were going to recede - as did Bush when he said that.

You mean Bush didn't actually cause the drop in oil prices - that he merely made a symbolic gesture at a time when oil prices where bound to drop anyways? Yes, I'd agree with that.

It's funny that you base your statements on the opinion of one partisan, conservative, supply-side economics advocate - and then accuse others of spinning.
I guess it just shows the appeal of simplistic slogans.

The republicans along with Newt Gingrich are having a press conference outside right now (11:00 AM) of the House and the MSM are ignoring it. They are demanding that Pelosi recall congress to vote on oil exploration.

That explains a lot.
(Seriously, though: this theory that you've been trumpeting is based, in its entirety, on that one Kudlow opinion piece a while back, isn't it?)

In that case, you can probably explain the reasoning behind your theory, right?
... or do you mean some other, secret explanation that I haven't been able to find?

And the press SHOULD ignore it. A bunch of spoiled children, bitching about how things are going in Congress. You didn't hear them complaining when they were blocking every Dem vote they could for years, until 2006. Nope.

Can't be bothered. Instead, let's just assume that you're unable to explain your theory of Bush's Magic Words.

Maybe the dems shouldn't submit bills on used toilet paper?
