Neo, if you won't hear it from me, hear it from ci.
As I said in my last post:
"If you think it is a contradiction, I will understand . . ."
. . .
"But it does have an explanation."
Too bad you are not open minded enough to listen to it.

Strangely enough....I actually DONT Love OR Worship Him Or anyone Else For that fact....
Perhaps its because Im So Imperfect.....If only god Created Me More Perfect i could Worship him! Wait.....theres no God.....THATS why Im not loving or worshiping him!
ITS A WASTE OF TIME!

Ok, 1, write in English please.
2, this is for serious debate. All your unsupported comments do is give a bad name to atheists.
Neo, I'm not going to reply.
God is a metaphysical assumption, and so far in human history, it has been the only successful way of making morality objective. Without this metaphysic, morality becomes subjective, unless you take the objectivist side of things, but that's another argument. As for quoting from scriptures, as soon as anyone does that with the intention of defending their belief, they have no argument, because the status of the scriptures to an extent is what is being disputed.
What atheists dispute is what christians assume, there is no point arguing with these people.

Don't worry, it's probably not possible to do more damage.

That's an interesting reply.
Kinda like the man who says he is a compulsive liar. Should we believe him?
Or the guy who stated 'there are no absolutes'. Kinda shoots himself in the foot with that.
neo, How good is your coffee?
I do like a strong dark roast for my morning wake up. Later in the day, I may blend an iced cappuccino.
I avoid flavored coffee beans, preferring instead to add flavor as desired.
All a2kers are welcome to join me for a brew at the Starbucks located on Hwy 99 and 220th in Edmonds, Washington. First cup always on me.
Even you, aperson.
As gas prices as they are today, a drive to Edmonds from Silicon Valley would be out of the question, but thanks for the invite. I also return the same offer for anyone coming to Silicon Valley; the first cup of java is always on me.
I'll be coming through in October, I think. Last time you were on one of your world tours.
Make it the first half of October, and I'll be around to honor that treat.

Wholly false! Socialization vis-a-vis human evolution indicates moral underpinnings separate from both moral intellectualizing and moral absolutism.
Chumley has it spot on! When we look at the history of religion, it goes back long before Christianity was even dreamed up by man. Many tribes believed in the sun god, and some even had animal and man gods. Many even worshiped the penis and fertility. It's one of those human frailties about man; we must believe there is something superior to the human animal - or at the very least, something to worship. Before Christians appeared on the planet, human made sacrifices of animals and other humans.
Finally, many cultures and tribes developed their own gods, and that's the reason why we now have Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Shintoism, Christians, Jews, Islam, and the money god.
Now, in this country, many worship Obama and McCain. I believe Bush lost his grace with the downturn in the economy and the upturn in the cost of fuel and food.
We not only have most of the religions represented in the US, but government statistics show over 80% are Christians.
In many countries in Central Asia, over 80% are Muslims.
My religion is better than your religion; I'm an atheist.
cicerone imposter wrote: . . . My religion is better than your religion; I'm an atheist.
Do you consider atheism a religion?
Of course atheism is a religion.
It's a spiritual point of view and therefore a religion.
The all knowing wiki wrote:
religion is a set of beliefs and practices, often centered upon specific supernatural and moral claims about reality, the cosmos, and human nature, and often codified as prayer, ritual, or religious law.
Atheism fits that quite nicely.
Oh and by the way that is very nice of you neo. I will be sure to stop off there should I find myself in America.
BE sure to pm first. I don't live there, I just hang out from time to time.
