I wasn't dodging anything Chumly. My post was directed toward CI and it seems he has responded. Is that ok with you?

CI my point, which you still seem to be missing, is you and I and everyone else on this forum do the same thing. You post what you believe and why. You post your evidence or admit your lack of evidence and discuss.

However, when you start calling the other person's beliefs, "poofism, etc." and use derogatory remarks, this is the point to where I feel you are shoving it down my throat.

You are an intelligent person. You have been, at times, a very charming man. But when you start getting frustrated and using ad hominems, etc., because someone is not accepting what you are saying you are shoving it down their throats in my opinion.
Claimed denials and empty assertions change nothing. You could shoot for a higher level of entertainment.

Have you ever heard about any atheist standing on a corner or coming to your home to promote atheism? Have you seen atheists group together to promote non-science in science curriculum - or any other course? Have you ever seen atheist missionaries promoting their beliefs? Have you ever seen atheists (as a group) promote legislation in your state or our country?

Who's trying to shove their beliefs down our throats?

I thought we were discussing discussions on this forum CI? I did not realize we had changed the topic to the rest of the world.

Is making smart aleck comments in the middle of someone's discussion your idea of entertainment? I don't know what your beef is with me but geesh, I am having a civil conversation with CI!

Same old dodge; won't fly. You want CI to show, that you have no proof, that you yourself are unable to provide.

You have to knock on my door and do the 'Hi, I'm an atheist.' thing, though. OK?

The funny thing is that I think someone did that as a social experiment or a joke; going door to door as an atheist to see what kinds of responses he would get. I think you can find videos of people doing it on youtube.

The point of course is not to preach, but to show evangelicals how annoying their behavior is from the third person.

That's why we have signs on our front entrance: NO SOLICITATIONS, and please no religious sermons; we are Buddhist.

I used to be a lot more aggressive in my posts about neo, but have learned that he is really a moderate and a nice guy. I think somebody jumped on me for my "nastiness" against neo, and that was the wake up call for me; thanks to whoever that was!

It's now more light-hearted, and I've tried to control my outbursts when responding to neo.

All my siblings are christians, and I've had heated argument with them about religion and politics, but I love them still.

We're all brothers under the skin.

My wife told me yesterday "why don't you talk to me like you talk to the dog?" So now I talk to the dog like I used to talk to my wife, and I talk to my wife like I used to talk to my dog.

Chumly to dog: "Let us take our morning constitutional, after which I shall then provide canine vittles."

Chumly to wife: "Sweeeeeteee.....good morning-morning-morning!"

Neo has not mentioned how me might wish to be addressed.
