Did anyone meet poor Kitchen Pete? I finally finished the sewing machine part of the binding at 9:30, packed my stuff and went home where I made hot chocolate for my 18 y/o and myself. Still have the handsewing to do but I figure I can watch Letterman and do it.

I don't believe it.

To think I actually contributed (tho not much, granted) to this thread.....

I should have realised, how Americans act when they hear the words

"The British are coming!"!

How sad to hear that no one managed to meet kitchenPete in Boston - He is such a lovely young man! What a missed opportunity!

And how lucky to be travelling those parts. We had a very brief but great weekend in Boston spoilt a little by a rather moody teenage son. So we shall have to do it again sometime. I still harbour the notion to drive across great chunks of America but it's getting round to doing something about it.

I know this is meant to be a KP in Mass thread but it's great to hear there may be an opportunity to meet up in London again so soon. I haven't discussed it with Mctag but .... well you never know. Except the 6th is a week day and that makes it difficult work/travel wise.

All the talk of meets in different parts of the world is really uplifting. It takes one out of the gloopy soup of everyday thoughts and worries.

Hi Guys,

Sorry it didn't work out...partly my fault for not fixing a date earlier.

Must dash - got to pack before taking a train to NYC.

London meetings in the future would be marvellous...assuming I can make them!!!

Take care, KP

Gloopy soup, Fiona? Surely not for you, when a tour of Scotland is in the offing. Very Happy

So sad to hear about these ships passing in the night. If anybody ever makes it ALL THE WAY over to the upper left hand corner, we'll (try to), stop, drop everything and roll out the slightly matted red carpet.

I understand these missed meetings. I still regret not making it to the Littlek gathering in Seattle. Sometimes it doesn't happen.

Cheers to kp for trying.

I still wish I'd met up with you, too, piffka.

I still feel bad for missing kp. Have fun in NYC!

Next time, littlek. These meetings are fun, I think. The one coming up in Madison sounds like it may be the best yet. (How come ehBeth always gets the big fun? ... and gets to bring her dogs, too!)

Awwww. Crying or Very sad I'm sorry. They won't have us and that is a loss! But there are so many of them... and they get to bring their animals... and it goes for days. You have to admit a twinge of wishing to be there yourself, yes?

Well, since the meet in Boston is such a bust, how about another London Gathering during the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays?

All right, I'll let you into the secret of how to do it. Here's how.

1. choose a date
2. choose a venue
3. choose a time to meet
4. go!

See how easy it is?
