History will treat GW kindly for the following reasons.

We are fighting a sophisticated enemy that has no rules of engagement to live buy other than find ways to fu*k with us and kill us in large numbers.
They know our rules of engagement and laws better than we do or once did and they use this knowledge against us.

Admit that the attacks on this country on Sept. 11 were well planned and highly successful and you
get a better picture of the threat we face and the huge lack of security measures we had in place.

We need to react very fast to every single possible threat and be ready to re adapt again and again very quickly.

I don't see any problem with what Bush has done to protect this country, my country, from any additional attacks since 09/11.
I hope we are able to do more and actually get a step or two ahead of the growing threat.

No MM I will not admit to something I didn't do. What you claim I said isn't what I said at all. And I think I am through talking to someone who cant see any view but his own. You are the typical conserative who thinks that calling people names and demanding proof for everything they say wins the argument even though you don't back up your own outrageous statements with facts. Yes, Al Qaeda can be sophisticated. They also can be very patient while we waste our resources in other endeavors like invading Iraq.

The attacks were successful. But you can't ignore the fact that Bush had been President for 8 months when they occurred if you want to talk about the lack of security. There is little doubt that the Bush administration failed to understand the threat from terrorism before and even after Sept 11. Iraq still had nothing to do with the attacks. It was the worst response to terrorism we could have ever planned.
