Here's the update. We have been emailing each other and I mentioned that I was going to be gone all weekend on a mountaineering class. I was exhausted Sat evening from the day of hiking and sliding down snow hills and I just turned my cell on to see if I had any missed calls. He had texted me asking how I was surviving.

So I did it, I called him last night and we talked for about an hour. He is such a sweet guy. I hope to be able to continue this and maybe see each other soon.

Marty--

Birds of a feather, flock together
And so do pigs and swine.
The rats and mice will have their choice--
So why can't I have mine.

A little romance in springtime. Excellent.

I think distance romance is a mixed bag; some work and others don't.

I'm a little old fashioned in this regard-- but when you do make plans to get together my instincts say he ought to come to you.

Should be fifty/fifty or whatever makes the most sense - at least that is what we did and it seemed to work out fine.

No, no, no...you should have waited at least three days to call! Now you've thrown off the whole rhythm of the dance of flirtation and romance! I hope you are ready to have sex on the first official date, because that's what you just set yourself up for, young lady!

The rhythm of the dance must never be disturbed...

Ms. Barker, only pay 1/3 attention to this post, once Slappy Doo Hoo and Gus weigh in then all advice will be official and you must follow it to The Letter.

Well, we've been pretty much talking on the phone every night or two. I have a brother that works for an airline and he is going to get me a standby ticket. I'm going back to see him next month and he is going to try to come see me in August.

So far things are moving along nicely, no pressures.
