Think like what?

McCain is a MAN of integrity, honesty unafraid to tell you the truth. That is a MAN's MAN.

Unlike his opponents who will say and do anything to get people like you to vote for them.

What do you think it meant?

So what is a woman called when she has integrity and is unafraid to tell the truth? A woman's woman? Why not a honest man or woman as the case may be?

Pathetic woiyo

You did not answer my question you snob.

But I will play you little game.

A women of integrity and honesty would be referred to by me as a Lady.

Now tell me what you thought I meant. Evil or Very Mad

Man's man to me means someone other men think of as macho. That is what I didn't think people thought like anymore. I should have remembered the "girlie girl" remark by a steroid looking pumped Governor.

Quote:
A man's man is a man who does things enjoyed by men and is respected by other men.

http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/man's+man.html

edit: link don't work; if all that interested just man's man in the search engine on the site.

I think you meant to imply either Obama or Hillary were not a MANS MAN!!! in comparison to McCain.

Actually when you think about it made no sense in the context of the whole discussion but is revealing to your overall sense of attitude (when coupled with our other discussion about equal pay for women) towards modern women or men who are not manly men but are more like "girlie girls."

Hint; calling me a snob is kind of refreshing to me. Considering I am a less than average white rural Southwestern Kentucky woman.

The sponsors of this ad are prime examples of why John McCain's efforts at campaign financing reforms have been nothing but superficial Viagra for the impotent.

With vigorous, uncontrollable friends like these people having a hard-on for you, Barack Obama would be an idiot to agree to limited campaign financing with John McCain in the midst of an election year.

Why is it that John McCain is so keen on election financing reforms yet so ineffective at implementing them?

Someone, please advise John to see his doctor if these uncontrollable urges of impotence continue.

So you really did not understand the entire ad.

The ad was directed at the 2 Democratic candidates for GOVERNOR of the State.

McCain did the honorable thing but he has no control over the State Party.

BTW we have been hearing claims that imply that Obama made some kind of pledge concerning taking only public financing if his opponent did likewise. He never made that pledge. Not even close.

Oh, I'd say he came VERY close....and other's (even Obama supporters) on this board had the same impression when he said it over a year ago.

But we've already heard, that while public financing is a very important issue to many people (myself included), it all takes a back seat IF you really want Obama to win.

Public financing for Republican = GREAT IDEA
Public financing for Obama = NO WAY!

Yeah, he said it. There were some hedges, but it was more than just an implication.

I still have mixed feelings on that one. May be more pragmatic to forgo public financing, but...

The part of the argument I have sympathy for is that he's effectively doing what public financing was set up to do -- go straight to small donors, a lot of them (more than a million individual donors now, forget how many of them), rather than being beholden to lobbyists/ major donors.

But yeah, he made a pledge or at least strongly implied that if the Republican nominee agreed to do it as well, he'd accept public financing. And it'd make me wince if he went back on it.

It would be interesting to know how many small donations have been made as opposed to large donations like oil companies. I've tried to figure it out but have trouble correlating the data.

NPR interviewed the state chair and she is a piece of work. The reporter even asked if it was a stretch to connect NC democratic gubernatorial candidates with Rev. Wright and she didn't bat an eye is saying no. She said if McCain called her personally, she still won't pull it.
