@dagmaraka,
my purses and shawls arrived today.... i'm almost fully in business. just wondering where my shoes are...perhaps in the box 6 that is still to come. perhaps stuffed in the suitcases i left behind...who knows. it's good that it's not too too cold yet.

@dagmaraka,
About the IPA - Maybe you could find an Irish Pub?

If the shoes are here, I can ship them! I owe you shipping-of-things.

Dasha by Modigliani, found also by Kris on a curb made it across the ocean with two bullet holes of sort... I like it even better this way. It has charisma.

@dagmaraka,
Hey, what is all your stuff doing in that place I've never seen before?!?

I love your view!

@littlek,
i know, it feels that way to me too. it's like a hotel room with my stuff in it.
the housemates are good for me, otherwise i'd be a voluntary hermit. S is insisting on going out tomorrow night for a drink (just one this time), because we cannot 'sit at home all week'.

also, Dutch have some funny expressions. Today, my colleague called someone a "failing monkey" and a "pauper", both intended to jokingly call someone incompetent.

@dagmaraka,
Failing monkey because he wasn't evolving to human standards? I think I've heard that one before......

@littlek,
no, like the Happy Goat, it has something to do with some story or a saying, I think.

How is Boston holding up? did you go hiking?

@dagmaraka,
Hiking? I walked around Fresh Pond with my bro. It's probably a walk I could happily do alone too. Lots of people, lots of dogs. A little boring, though. It was fun comparing notes on teaching with my brother.

We've had some good stormy weather, too. Lovely windy-rainy days. The kind that make the back of the couch by the window damp. (I should do something about that)

@dagmaraka,
That looks like a nice space - and the view is good! how far are you from the ocean/sea/big water?

@littlek,
damn, he should break up with people more often (kidding...)...but he did become a lot more social. did you ever see him in classroom? that would be fun too. bet he's a good teacher. maybe you can run a school together one day.

@dagmaraka,
Run a school!? NO thank you!

But, I have thought it'd be fun to run a restaurant with him.

@littlek,
hmm...unless he'd get depressed and play the world of warcraft somewhere in the back room and you'd have to do it all alone. know what, scrap the family business idea.

@dagmaraka,
<grin>

I played scrabble with Ema last night and scored over 300 points. One turn I got 75, or so. I told her that that wasn't usual, hopefully she will play me again.
