Anyone heard how Sozobe is doing in the Ohio floods?

Sozobe hasn't posted for several days. Has anyone heard from her? Is she and her family okay? If no one has heard from her, does anyone have her phone number so a call can be made to check up on them?

Just checked to see when exactly she last posted. Noon on the 18th was her last post.

I don't have any information, but I would like to know if she's okay, also.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. Hope she has a dry house to go back to. She's in the Columbus area where some of the worst flooding is. Here's a link to the Columbus Dispatch's weather blog with details:

What about everyone in the Texas area? Looks like Shewolf, Chai, Rockhead and now Edgar have all posted today. Anyone else in the flood areas that we haven't heard from?

2Packs is in the Missouri bootheel, I'm pretty sure. Missouri River should be cresting...

Mom's okay 60 miles west of him.

Here the NWS flood map -- Generally, TX and MO look to be in much better shape than the KY/TN area.

Sozobe does not live in a flood plain. To say any more would be tell more about her than she wishes to have revealed.

Has Kansas been annexed by Texas?

I would say that I am "high and dry" but that would not be accurate, as there is nothing that could be considered even remotely "high" about where I live. Without going into a long snooze inducing story...if not for the levee proper, a very large strategically placed channel, and several smaller channels...ditches....I would be standing in a few feet of water at the moment.

No rain of significance has fallen in my area. And, since I live on a very long slope, no flooding is ever expected here. What's that, God? Build a ark? What for?

I thought he lived near Chai and Shewolf since he frequently talks about helping them with their mechanical problems with cars.

Sorry if him being thought of as a Texan offends someone.

I'm pretty sure being a Texan, or being thought of as a Texan, offends no one.

Big 12 Championship ... Kansas vs. Texas ... Jayhawks win 84-74.

'Nuff said.

Hey, thanks for thinking of me!

I was frolicking in the surf at the time. (Vacation in FL.) I noticed that the rivers were quite high when we drove back from the airport yesterday, but no flood problems at home, thankfully.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you have lots of help fighting back the waters or surrendering to them after having moved out your belongings.
