Yikes, 2Packs... good luck.
(Are you currently flooded or worried that it'll happen soon enough...?)
Second that, re 2Packies.
Thank you kind ladies.

"the Bootheel in the far southeast portion of the state getting 5 to 6 inches."
We only got about 2.5 inches, and I have 8 inches of water in my yard at the moment, if we would have gotten the full 6, we would be in serious trouble. I've built a bridge for the wife and kids to get to the car...the kids actually like that quite a bit...well, so do I. Roughly a third of the city is in the same shape as we are, but at this point, it's more of a nuisance than anything else...mostly in the yards, and covering a few streets. We only have a few houses that are in jeopardy of damage, and only one of them has decided to use sandbags.
Normally water does not stand in my area for very long at all, basically I live on a pile of sand a mile deep, but when the river is very high, and we get lots of rain, there is nowhere for the water to go. It's supposed to rain again Tuesday, perhaps it will be light, or hopefully it won't rain at all.
Keep us posted.
Stay safe.
Ah, naturally good drainage, given time.
Hey! Nice houseboat, 2packs.
Wow -- good thing it stopped raining when it did.
Water, water everywhere
And all the boards did shrink.
Water, water everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.
Daaaaaang...!
What's the current situation?
Is anything but the yard damaged/ endangered?
So far there has been no serious damage to any property, besides perhaps some mold/moisture issues down the line, as there is water under some of the homes. The street in the picture is one over from me, my yard is in great shape compared to those.
I could fill a page or two about what I've had to deal with "peoplewise" in the last few days, but it's 3am and I don't want to get myself in a lather.
From the weather forecast, it looks like you're in for another rough few days. Check in as you can, 2packs.
