comme un oiseau sur le fil j'ai essayé de ma manière d'être libre -epitaph to be for Armadillo. Interesting that you've got that sig Dys.

I just came back last night from a delightful sojourn in Flagstaff. Fresh mountain air - ah! Got to see the stars at the Lowell Observatory there for the night viewing through the famous scopes. Ah, I'll be replaying these memories for quite some time.

Cobalt, did you take pics? Flagstaff is so beautiful and I have so many lovely memories from camping in the part of the country.

The stars! Isn't it amazing how many stars there are in the sky and how close they seem, even without a telescope? In clear air in the desert or up on a mountain it almost feels like you can reach up and pluck one right out of the sky. Can you tell I'm loving being back in the southwest?

Dys and I will leave Wednesday, driving to Boston first. The trip will take about two weeks. Friends and family--I can hardly wait.

wow, it's gotten busy around this old place. I wish I had time to start back with our fun, third person, present format. Maybe in a couple more weeks. I'm still, if you can believe it, working on getting settled. I'm looking out my window again...it's just getting dark, the lights of the city are beautiful. It's too cold to sit for long on the balcony, but it's still a fun place to visit on occasion. It's warm and cozy inside though. No fireplace, but the view makes up for it. Guess I'll have to depend on the fireplace here in the cafe.

My best to all my a2k friends. I'm checking in regularly, so don't hesitate to leave any message you like (so long as it's a nice one) no evil spammer behavior.........so dys, you'll have to reform yourself. HA That's so likely.

I'd love to Husker, but I've forgotten how to post pix in the gallery. I'll try to work my memory a little. See what I can do.

Isn't it nice here by the fire? Oh look, here's Wassau with a pot of coffee. Warm feet, warm tummy. Coffee, Husker?

OK, Husker.

I finally managed to upload two photos of the view. One from my balcony and one from my living room, where I'm sitting now.

They're not good photos. And they're not photos at night. I haven't figured out how to do that yet with this camera. But still, it may give you an idea.

They're in the gallery.

October 13th is my birthday.....that's true. Almost forgot. I'll be 58.....oh dear. Well, I better enjoy it, I'll never be so young again. It will be a great year.......I just know it will.

Thanks for the birthday happy, Husker.

Thanks Osso, it's taking shape and it's very cozy. I love this city.......maybe I've mentioned that. You'll have to come visit me when you get the chance.

oh dear.........I just accidently deleted my entire album.

But I've re-posted a few of them......and a few new. At last, I've acheived the night view and balcony.

I'm so pleased.
