I haven't worked in months now. Very nice time off........maybe it's time to go back to work. Yes, I think it's about time.

Nice to hear of housewarmings and warm hearts. Greetings to old friends, eh what? I had our housewarming here in hot Phoenix two weeks ago and a good time was had by all! Been at my job for 3 1/2 months - woohoo! My son Drewski doing swell now. Can't abide the politics of AZ, so happy to be online for decent chat that way - say, anyone gonna offer cobalt a brew?

Hey Cobalt. It's you! Wow. Sit down here and tell us more about what you've been doing.
Wassau, Cobalt would like a beer. Isn't it great to see her again?
I'm in New York, Cobalt. I'm still busy getting settled. But all is going well and I'm happy.

A breeze rushes through the cafe as Diane breezes through the door.
HI LOLA!! Dys and I want to see you in NYC. We'll be there the week of the Oct. 18th, no definite day of the week set as of now.
Like Osso, I don't check in very often, but it is so good to see old friends and Cobalt. WOW, this is old times week. Please come back, Cobalt and tell us all that's happened. You poor thing there in AZ with all the Republicans. Spend more time here and you'll find plenty of political discussions--most of which I can't abide, but then I'm not one to argue ad nauseum with no new input.
Hmm, not to put my opinion out there--it must be catching.
Lola, tell tool belt man to escort you to dinner and drinks and we'll do our best to be there as well.
My yahoo email addy is: uppitybroad/@/yahoo./com.
Write and I'll give you our cell phone numbers.
OH BOY!!

Cloned Cats
Taffy would like to know what Cheshire's and Felix's comments are about the cloned cats at the cat show - Madison Gardens
Wow, firstthought, that is almost more than I can handle--even the name: Genetic Savings and Clone. Mercy!! If anyone is stupid enough to pay $50,000.00 for a cloned cat, there is now a company to take their money.
I was horribly put off when, watching a cat show, I saw a new breed (this was a few years ago)--cats with very short legs. They could hardly jump and they looked pathetic. Imagine taking away one of the characteristics that is inherent to cats. I was sickened.
I wonder if Savings and Clone will have an IPO in the near future?
OK, getting back on topic, I think I need a good, strong drink. Wassau, a Makers Mark with water and ice, please. I need to get these horrible visuals out of my mind.
Let's also have some good music--how about Santana's Abraxis?

Hmm, I like Maker's Mark too, heh, with a bunch of ice cubes, which is entirely against the mellow bourbon in good glass ethic.
Corgis have short legs and developed as a breed from p's and q's to be herders. But did someone direct that, to get herders? I wonder.
Does seem weird for a cat.
But I have to say, if had a dollar for every person that asked me what happened to Pacco's legs, I'd be a rich girl.

YAY!!!! Yippee.........Di and Dy in NYC. Can't wait. I'll send an email right now. What an email address! So appropriate.
Hey ft, I don't know what to say about those cats. I'll ask Cheshire and maybe he'll pull his saucy body up off his cushion in the corner and commet himself. Maybe he, Felix and Taffy will have a little debate about it. Wait, are any of these three Republican cats? If so, watch out.
Pacco looks like such a loveable doggie, Osso. And I agree, people who tell obvious jokes are one of my pet peeves. Whenever I hear an often repeated, easy, obvious joke, I always worry that maybe I do it too and just don't recognize it in myself.

I need to get ahold of Joe Nation, and don't have his email address. I'm going to put mine here, with spaces between so spybots don't pick it up, in the hopes that he will check in here.
Joe, would you email me?
edit address.

Osso, short legs on a dog who was bred for a particular chore or use makes perfect sense and doesn't really put the dog in harm's way. To do that to a cat just because you can is, to me, as unethical as cutting off a necessary body part.
Lola, loved Cheshire's response to cloning. Of course a cat would think it's wonderful if the clones would be copies of its wonderful self! Naturally.
Osso, remember having a Maker's Mark in NYC? I will always remember that trip with fondness.

I erased my email address, though I don't mind if anyone here got it and uses it. Erased it just in case evil spammers lurk.

Di and Dys going to NYC? How cool - when?
I'm on a beer budget, and worse yet, a cheap beer budget. Anyone want to send something suitable this way? I need to get motivated to clean house in a big way today. Weekends are so very fleeting and it's a battle between the need to relax vs. the need to clean up so that I can walk through the house without crunching on something. Generally that would be my son's thousands of paper scraps and pencil sharpening shavings. I must dig out my old Beastie Boys "Hello Nasty" cd today - gets me rocking while I do the vacuuming.
