Where is gus anyway? How can we have a party, if we don't have a proper Gus impersonator?

Ohhhhhh, look, it's Betty and Bob. Anybody have any pickled herring? Here you go, babies.......here's your little ball.

Lola - could we have a "writing" party? Our distinguished author here is looking for inspiration in order to start writing!

Inspiration abounds.........it must be some other kind of problem, I fear. But a party would be fun anyway. Let's do it soon.

My bucket's got a hole in it, Craven. But that doesn't prevent me from collecting water. Hee Hee

"Good morning captain
Good morning to the ocean
Do you need another mule skinner
Out on your new road line

I smell your bread a burning
Woman go turn your damper down
If you ain't got no damper
Woman go turn your bread around
It's a turning brown

Well, hey there little water boy
Get your butt off the ground
Get that bucket of water son
Bring that bucket 'round
And if you don't like your job
Set the water bucket down"

Just got out of another New York dinner/gathering with Frank Apisa.

BTW the guy is nuts.

But I'm here now in this internet cafe trying to borrow a beret so I look less conspicuous.

Did I mention Frank is nuts??

When's the party?

Joe

Okay, I'll bite.

What did Frank do tonight? Don't tell me he wore a "Mel Gibson is an Idiot" t-shirt.

Missed you G. and yes, we talked about you the whole night.

Eva: You left out a word. (Think of Frank with his beard and hair dyed red in the middle of Times Square with that gallon of iodine he had me pick up at the Rite-Aid (no pun intended)))

Nah, Gautam. Just imagining the hell that Frank must have been going through on the opening day of Mel's film.

"Mel Gibson is a FLAMING Idiot"...right?!

Uh, wait a minute......I think you tricked me into saying that....grrrrrrrr......

You have to remember we were discussing Gautam ad nauseum ( Really, there are only so many ways you can say charming, handsome and witty but we went on and on....)

The word you are seeking (veddy veddy British) is BLOODY.

Ah, BRITISH slang! Well. No wonder I didn't think of it. Very appropriate, I must say, considering the film.

I don't know about "simpleton," Lola. Even some of the film's harshest critics are amazed at Mel's directorial abilities. I may disagree with him on a lot of things, but I do think the man is smart.

I find myself actually agreeing with Frank on this one (gasp!) I do not intend to see the movie. I have a very weak stomach for violence, and sensationalizing it, even for the best of causes, is deplorable. I am not sadistic or masochistic enough to put myself through watching something that brutal, especially when the subject of the brutality is someone I deeply care for.

Enough ranting...

Does anyone have a quarter for the jukebox? I feel like dancing. C'mon, my friends...cheer me up!
