I'm thinkin' that if the weather cooperates...this next Friday would be an excellent day to do a big get-together at the Pan.

I think Nancy and a friend of her's are coming in to meet with Tony and me for a light repast...and then some quality time sopping up suds on the upper superstructure of the Pan.

Why don't we try to get everyone to come.

Lola...how about either you or Bernie whisper into Joe's ear about the idea...and maybe one of you two can try to contact that Kicky guy...because he will not respond to messages I leave him. Apparently now that he is working for a large advertising firm he thinks he is too big a deal for the likes of scum like us.

(I do wanna see him!)

Anyone from the outlying areas interested?????

My God, it's hotter n hell out there today. Wassau has turned up the air and it's comfy inside the cafe. Or maybe we could swim in the backyard pool with the seals. Margarettas are being served and Tex Mex this evening.........

Out in Arizona the temp is high but dry. People are sitting in the shade with cold drilnks and not perspiring.

The high temp in my microwave is also dry. Still, I don't think I'll crawl inside.

MA, but, the question is, would you prefer to be in NY or Phoenix right now? Forget about the microwave.

New York anyday. As long as we don't have a black out, which I understand is a possibility. I'm sitting in near darkness with Bernie and HoFT in order to run the air conditioners. Still, it's hot. But on Thursday a cold front is expected and we'll cool off then. Small price to pay for the pleasure of New York. Anyway, my bed room is very small and quite cool with the air on and the door closed.

And the air here at the cafe is magnificient. The lights are low, as the mayor has requested, but the coolness is excellent. And the spirit around here is finnnnnnnnnnnnne.

Glass of wine or a beer anyone?........or a toke maybe?

I want to go to Phoenix when JL's work is showing at the University, and hope to meet him and L. for a small repast.

Hi Lola! I'm so glad to see my old name mentioned - though I can't remember the specific occasion, having been the beneficiary of your and Bernie's hospitality so often - and just wanted to wish you Merry Christmas Smile

Thanks for reviving Lola's thread, High Seas.

Lola is neglectful and lets her cafe get all dusty. Smile

Just got notification of a posting in this thread...and decided to stop by and say hello.

So...HELLO!

Broke my shoulder last Monday. Banged into the boards in an ice skating rink. Goddam thing was really hard. Knew it was broken immediately...so I skated off...did my last 2 hours of shopping and went home. Called the doctor the first thing next afternoon, though!

My right shoulder.

Puts one hell of a crimp in some of the things I enjoy doing with my right hand.

But as you can see...my typing works just fine.

Frankie!

Find the injured skating warrior a good booth and a healthy adult beverage.

Hey--nice to see more postings, even with a neglectful Lola.

That gatekeeper somehow looks familiar.

It looks like Day has influenced the gatekeeper's choice of hair length.

Uh, Frank, were you being good or baaaad when you fell?

How about a New Year's Eve party? Lola? Take some time off and liven up the party.
